There is a Ford program in place to address this a design defect in the OEM part.

Your Ford dealer will help since the OEM part has a design defect. It has gone though several design changes. A proper one at the dealer is about $100.00. I got my money back.

Larger wheels tend to ride harder, what size are on yours?

Ford released this vehicle with a design defect. The rear bearing has been reengineered several times. Make sure you use a replacement bearing with the latest fix or you may do this expensive repair again. Your Dealer may offer assistance although there is not formal recall that I know of.

I flushed out mine with kerosene several times and then filled it with Mobil 1 fluid of the proper viscosity. I also installed the drain plug. It has resolved the problem for me.
