  1. I have a question. I have an amp for my subs hooked up working fine. Now I have a 4 channel amp and speakers for my doors I want to add. My subs amp I have wired with a toggle switch as I don't always want the subs on. So I didn't use the REM wire due to the toggle switch. My question is with my four channel amp for the speakers I obviously always want this on when the radio turns on I have a 2012 edge sel without Sony sound on my speaker amp where can I get a feed for the remote wire REM to turn on when the radio turns on as I don't want to toggle switch this one

    Thanks

  2. also, i tell you what, there's very little rattle on the outside of the car, i got a license plate kit from autozone and it totally got rid of any rattle sound, and for only 500watts on the subs, it sounds real good in their, a sealed box in all i cant keep it up past 10 much because ov how hard it hits comapred to some cars that ive sat inhearing 1000watts edges sound way better then cars with more watts IMO

  3. hey i just did this. I used 2 kicker 250 watt amps with 2 kicker 12's. i pulled the pillar covers off of the doors, between fron door and back door. theres a strand of wires, one side was brown and yellow and brown and white, the other side it was blue and i forgot the color to the back door speakers. I simply cut the wires in half so there was enough room to splice them to a rca convertor. i did that to each side, and ran the wire under the plastic molding to the cargo area....i ran my ground to the ground under that plastic on the drivers side to the factory grounded wire there to the cars body. put the plastic back on, and ran my power wire through that plastic boot thing behind the brake pedal which came out behind the battery (which you need to loosen and slide forward to get the power cable) i mounted a toggle switch to control the amp on and off under the dash with a 30 amp switchand ran that wire under the molding trim to the cargo area where the amps are. for the remote (blue) wire, since i had a switch this wasnt needed, so i ran a jumper from the power terminal on the amps to the remote wire terminal because the toggle switch acted as my remote wire...if you have questions let me know ill try to help, all in all its easy, it's also easy to pull the head unit to use the acc. wire on their if you want to run a remote wire, but id rather have a toggle switch so i have the option of no amp and subs sometimes...

  4. I have a '12 SEL, with the 4.3 inch screen, no sony, no nav. Today i was driving, went to make a call and noticed it wasnt thru the stereo, so after the call i hit the power button, and one of those blue boxes like kinda minimized like windows on a pc do, so i hit it again, it looked like it maximized, but no sound! i hit the cd eject, it says NO CD, when there is a cd in their. Then, i go to backup, no camera on the screen, no beeps that im close to hitting something either...but the screen displays the time, and temp, thats it, cant open settings, SAT radio or anything. i checked fuse 29, the radio fuse, and i checked 34, the backup camera, both were looking good...any ideas before i have to take it to a dealer and get it shoved up my rear when i get the bill?

Anyways now, i want to put a sun strip across the front windshield of 20%, but i notice these black dots that stick up and don't allow the windshield to be flat their. Has anyone done it there self and how hard is it to get the tint to seal over these bumps,? if you cut around them, it'd look like $hit....i also did my front 2 windows with no issues, it's just the windshield im not sure how to go about covering those dots....2012 edge sel
