I have a 2015 SEL EDGE with the tow package. The wiring harness comes with the 4 pin connector. The problem is most pop up tent trailers now come with a 7 pin wiring harness. (even the ones that weigh 1500 lbs or less). Does any one know if the Edge is 4 wires all the way or from where the connector plugs into the wiring at the end of the run.

Ditto, I have the exact same thing with my brakes. Press a little not enough, go a little bit more and you could be jamming the brakes on

It is a class II which this particular factory hitch is 2 inches. That threw me off also as most class II are 1 1/4". I do have the factory hitch on my 2015 Edge SEL and it is a 2 inch receiver.

It seems like Ford Canada has a different policy on how they are handling the leaky edges compared to US.
Also wondering what happen to the similar topic that was in the exterior, body category?

The etis ford site does work with Canadian data

AJ O Hlcidhe, do you know what your bulid date on the Edge was?

I noticed a putrid smell in my 2015 Edge a few weeks ago and wondered what the source was. I thought I had uneaten food somewhere in the car, but didn't find any.
A few days later I noticed the front and back drivers side floor were wet.
Then just few days ago I started hearing a large amount of water sloshing around in the car when I brake -- can't really figure out where it is, sounds like under the floor but also in front and back. What sort of area or cavity would a car have where so much water can pool? Strange.
Over the past few days I also noticed more water on the front drivers side floor, and can't figure out why its started to increase, especially over the past few days when there's been no rain. It's now a pool in the under the pedals.
At night the windows get totally covered with condensation. I have been driving the car a fair amount and running the AC. Could the AC be expelling water into the car?
My Edge was built in mid-March, so this problem seems to include Edge's built before the April 28-Jun 25 time period noted in a Ford bulletin posted on this site.
The bulletin also said there's a Jun 30 expiration date for the reacall. What happens to Edge owners who get a leak after Jun 30?
I love the car and hope it can be fixed.
Hi Neptune
The period Ford is covering right now is from June 2014 to April 28th 2015. The expiry date on this bulletin is June 2016. I feel sorry for everyone that has run into this problem.

Hi Mark
I asked this question also. The factory hitch comes with a 2 inch receiver, upgraded cooling fans and radiator, 4 pin wiring harness and trailer sway control. Also the hitch is more hidden then an aftermarket which makes for a better appearance. To me this makes the factory installed hitch a no brainer

Ironware, do happen to know what the build date of your Edge was
-
Does anyone have concrete evidence that they solved this issue after April 28th?

Hey Soggy_ Edge
I got this link from Tricia for the Canadian repersentive.
If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact my FordserviceCA colleagueshere. They'll be happy to lend a hand.
I have a SEL on order and will be checking out how this develops

Is this a problem isolated with the sport or all 2015 Ford Edge models

I was at dealer today to take at look at a 2015 SEL. Do you have to remove the head rest on the rear seats to get the seats to fold flat. When the salesman demo the rear seats at the fold down position they had about a 15 degree incline.

Thanks so much for the info

Does anybody know if the rear seats in the 2015 Edge fold down flat?

Thanks Magnetic Edge

Candurin, thank you for your reply.
I guess this is where the problem comes in. Most light duty trailers now come with electric brakes, even if they weigh 1500lbs or less. This weight is well within the Edges specs with a factory tow package (3500 lbs). Just not sure where the logic of 4 pin wiring comes in for Ford
