While shopping for an edge, what is easiest way to get build date so I locate one outside the range?

Build dates for pillar issue are june 25th 2014 to april 28th 2015 Oakville. Doesnt sound like all built had issue.R15B21

Spoke with my service rep,and from the sounds of it Ford released a bulletin today with information related to the issue. I think he said R15B213

I am looking to buy a 2014 Ford Edge Sport but held off because I didnt see an easy way to buckle my booster in the middle seat. Seems odd the buckles are 9" apart and then left a 4" gap to the passanger side. Because of this spacing it falls under the booster. Even thought about an extender and coming up with a way to have it come up through the booster seat. Anyone carry 3 people in the back regularly with out issues? 2015 edge solves this issue, however all the driver side water leaks have me spooked. Seems like 14s are a little more reliable.

Same debate for me as cab2g. Debating between 2014 edge sport with all the savings or new 15 sport w. Nav vs titanium. Seat belt in center seat of 14 is off center so buckling in middle is challenge and only thing holding me back.

I have been looking to buy a new edge and have now sat in 3 edges on dealer lots with same issue. I called several dealers and out of the dozen I called, 2 said they have 1 or 2 cars in service with the problem. One of them said they had no idea what the issue is and fixing seals didnt resolve anything so they were holding the car. The other said they knew exactly what it was and it had something to do with how the fender, hood and A pillar meet. Something about it was mounted underneath and you need to find an edge that the pillar or something was mounted on top. To repair they were sending to a bodyshop, flipping it, resealing it. Not sure if this makes sense,trying to make it out there for him to show me. Basically if you looked in with a flashlight by the hood hinge you could see it.
