jacksprat...I think he is looking for a cover that goes on the Dash...not a sun shade.
Yep, looking for a cover for the dash. It is extremely dusty here where I live and want to get something to protect the dash from dust and the sun. Just curious if anyone who has one and how it is cut to fit or molded to fit with the center compartment that opens on the dash. I may call Dashmat and see if they can confirm any details on the one for our Edge.

How do these work when you have the seats folded down? Does the Ford OEM have a lip?
That's actually a good question because if there is a lip, cargo put in with the seats down may deform the lip if it is laying across it. Will need to investigate more.

Thanks for the replies. I will probably go with the Ford OEM cargo mat since Weathertech doesn't offer it yet.

Who has the Ford cargo mat in their new 2015 Edge? Who has one from another company? Observations?
Thanks

I used DashMats years ago in a couple of my trucks. I am wondering if anyone has purchased any brand of dash cover for their 2015 Edge. I am interested in your impressions on fit, material, cost, etc.
Thanks!

I ordered the front weathertec laser measured/molded floor mats and the back seat mats were not available. I received them put them in and they are fantastic. I checked the website again and the rear seat mats are now available so I ordered those. Has anyone used the weathertec cargo mats? I am debating between theirs and the Ford cargo mat that has EDGE molded into the mat. Thoughts?

I took delivery of my new '15 edge SEL, Magnetic with the 3.5 last Saturday but the leak repairs had not been done yet. Took it in today and had it done on both sides. They used a different sealant that was equivalent to the one called for and said it was approved for the repair by Ford. Here are some pictures.
Not the cleanest job but I imagine using a 3/8 inch brake line to apply it without removing any body panels is tough. I hope it is a good seal. It seems like a very non-precise method.
I guess we will see. There is a chance of rain in the forecast the next few days.

There are 3 types of lighting control: you can read about it in the owner manual, pages 85-87. Regardless which type the SEL has, the 3rd button from the left controls whether the interior lights come on when opening the door(s).
Thanks! You know, you read something and stare at it so long and it is right in front of you. Thanks, problem solved(-:

Check the manual. Either you can change a setting withing the MFT system or one of those buttons up top may activate the correct setting.
Off the top of my head, I don't know what the fix is.
Thanks for the reply. Can't find anything about enabling or disabling in the manual and nothing to be found in MFT system. Maybe someone knows. If not, I will ask at the dealer when I go in for the A-Pillar leak repairs this afternoon.

Hi, I just bought a '15 Edge, SEL, Magnetic with the 3.5. I live in the Texas panhandle and we had to get this car brought in from Witchita, KS. I love it so far but am having what I hope is a simply fixed interior lighting issue.
According to the manual, the interior lights should turn on when any door is opened or a button is pressed on the remote.
Neither are happening. I want the interior lights on when entering the vehicle but I don't see any way to enable or disable them inside the car or otherwise. I see the buttons on the overhead console to turn them on individually but that's not what I need.
Can anyone provide any guidance?
Side note: I took delivery on Saturday and the service guys that are doing the A-pillar leak repairs were not there. I will be going in this afternoon for the simple fix.
Thanks,
Kevin
WeatherTech Mats for my '15 Edge

In case anyone is interested, I called WeatherTech today. The guy I spoke with said it is taking longer on the '15 edge because everything was redesigned so they are having to retool everything. The cargo mat is currently in tooling as we speak and he said it could be 3-4 weeks and then it should be up on the website. It could be sooner though so he said to keep checking online.
