  1. I also assumed S forced paddle shifters. I didn't want to push it until the break-in period is over (1000 miles according to manual) so I was waiting to do much with the shifters. But I supposed I'll give S a try!

I just tried this myself as I am at 1,500 miles and I must say the 2.7 in sport mode is a blast to drive. I have the AWD as well. I am so glad I went with the sport as I think this 2.7 ecoboost is the perfect engine for this SUV. I am currenlty averaging 22 mpg and my buddy who has the SEL with the 2.0 ecoboost is only doing a few more miles per gallon than I am.

An added note that the sport tows very well.

  2. I just had this same hitch installed yesterday on my 2015 Sport. I had my buddy do it at his shop and he said the hardest part was running the wire from the rear of the vehicle up to the front battery. The wire kit is plug and play, but you do have to run a wire directly to the battery. Overall it looks good, but I did find it a bit more difficult to open the tailgate with your foot, although it does work.

I plan to tow my 18' aluminimum fishing boat and my ATV with my Edge. I hope that it is able to tow the boat ok as it is about 2,800lbs including trailer. tounge weight is not to bad, but as pointed out before this hitch does sit somewhat low. I also have an adjustable ball mount and will be using that.

  3. I was in the same situation as you. I was going to wait until the 2016's came out, but as soon as I found out about the 0% for 72 months along with a $1,000 rebate I decided to pull the trigger.

I got a great deal on a loaded up 2015 Sport and I could not be happier. I do not think I would have gotten this good of a price let alone the 0% and the rebate on a 2016. BTW if you think the Ford Sync is bad you should try the Entune system I had in my 2014 Toyota Tacoma. Smaller screen and much slower to respond then the Sync. It did have some nice apps, but I can just run those on my Android if needed.

    Just my 2 cents.

  4. I just had my Pearl White 2015 Edge Sport AWD delivered this past Friday. Love the 2.7 EcoBoost and the vista sunroof. This is my 1st Ford in many years and after 450 miles it is a blast to drive and sooo much more comfortable than the Toyota Tacoma I traded in. I was going to lease until I found out about the 0% for 72 months along with the $1k rebate. It has the 401A pkg so it will take me some time to learn all the tech stuff. When in sport mode it is just a rocket for an SUV.
