MT just tested a 2016 Edge Sport using 87 Octane. They lost 0.5 sec to 60mph vs. a previous test of a 2015 Edge Sport that used 93 Octane.

Interesting article, so on 87 octane my very rough 7s 0-60 is about 0.8s off. I wonder if they were building revs while on the brake ? I might be able to say that the discrepancy is due to the very warm ambient temperature I was running in and my fairly inaccurate stopwatch method. I'm feeling a bit better now :-)

Switching to 93 octane gained me about a quarter of a second so I'm now at around 6.75s. Ambient air temp right now is 80-90 degrees here in Texas so I guess I'll have to wait until the end of the year to see how this thing performs in 30-40 degree air.

Driving in S-Mode, air conditioning off, less than a quarter tank of gas, only me in the car, trunk empty etc. etc. Air temp is quite warm in Texas at the moment (only getting hotter) so that will be having some effect too since turbos like cold dense air. I dunno, guess I'll check the turbo connections and make sure there's no leaks.

My Edge Sport has over 3000 miles on it so I'm well past the break-in period. I'm measuring with a handheld stopwatch so not entirely super accurate :-), but still ...

Every review I read on the internet I see a 5.6s 0-60 time posted for the 2015 FWD Edge Sport. I'm curious if anyone on here has documented a 0-60 time for a 2016 AWD Sport. I've tried a few times in mine and I always seems to end up at around the 7sec mark. That's a long way from 5.6s. Granted, I'm running on regular gas, I'm not standing on the brakes while the revs build and the AWD will surely cause a hit, still, I would have thought it would have been better than that. Maybe I'll fill up on 93 Octane next time and see if that helps.

Just saw on ETIS that my Edge Sport was built on 2/27. Hopefully, I'll be getting a phone call from my dealership in the next week or so

The price was the bottom line i.e. after all fees but before TT&L.
Invoice Base + Options and fees: $47069.71
minus AWD Discount: $466
minus Costco discount: $550
minus Factory rebate: $500
Total: $45553.71 + TT&L

That's a great price. X plan is $46,621.
Do you know the doc fee?
The only fees on the quote were:
Fuel Charge $39.71
Adv Assessment $720
Dest & Deliv $895
I'll have to ask what they plan to charge for the dealer documentation fee but it's typically around $100 - $150, right ? I hope they're not going to try and stiff me for something ridiculous.

Thanks akirby !
I got lucky under the "Local Dealer's Inventory" tab by trying various zip codes. It's only an hour and half's drive from me.

I'm in the market for a 2016 Edge Sport and have been scouring Ford's inventory site. My local dealer hasn't ordered any 2016 Edge Sports yet so I was checking out the "Extended Inventory" tab and found the exact car I'm looking for. It says it's dealer ordered and is headed to a "TX DLR". How can I find out which dealer in Texas it's headed to ?
Traction Control Lost Its Mind !!

2016 Edge Sport AWD.
Just 2 minutes after starting, I pulled out into the main road and squeezed the throttle, the engine starts revving up like I'm in neutral and the orange traction control light on the dash starts flashing. I've literally got no drive. Switched the hazards on, limped over to the kerb, engine off, engine on again and away we go. All is good.
Anyone ever experienced this ?
