  1. My original moonroof rattle is still gone, it stopped after the dealer performed the last TSB on May 7th. Even though I kept calling it a rattle, it was more like a creaking noise, but so far so good with it. Now since the headliner was out something like 4 times, I do have a rattle above the sunglass holder and I still have that jingling type noise above my head (maybe from a magnet, I've been told?). I have not had the car back to the dealer to have these addressed yet, I was waiting for the next oil change. I too have also heard the sloshing gas noise in my Edge and told the service adviser about it, he told me it was a normal sound due to some way the gas tanks are built??? He explained it out to me, but I don't remember what he said, even if I understood it then?

Doug same here on the gas it has to do with the baffling or something like that. I call BS on Ford, there is no way you should here this in a 40,000 car. It's most noticeable with about a 3/4 tank. And less noticeable when the tank is completely full or almost empty.

  2. I would like to personally wish all of you good luck with your rattles as I doubt that any of you will ever be satisfied. I am not trying to be mean but stating a fact. I have been dealing with the same problem for months now and have posted in here before. The car doesn't rattle per se but it creaks and makes noise when it vibrates over slow speeds bumps and on other roads. I have had all of the current TSBs done. I finally got fed up and made a complaint to Ford. My dealer has been great through all of this and even got an engineer down to inspect the car. I went for a ride with my tech and the engineer and they confirmed the noises that I hear, including the gas sloshing around in the tank when I stop. We then took a new car off the lot and drove that one over the same roads, guess what, it was worse than mine. Final conclusion is that the noises I constantly hear are normal for the characteristics of the vehicle. Bottom line they concluded that if they continue to try and mitigate the noise it could make it worse, the headliner has been out twice already. The ford customer service rep gave me a free 5/75k extended warranty so I took that and will move on once it's out of warranty. I will say that after being a loyal Ford owner having owned 15 and currently owning three, I have purchased my last Ford or American vehicle.

  3. When I am driving slow and then stopping, like pulling into a parking space I can hear the gas sloshing around in the gas tank. I have never heard anything like this in a car before. There were so many claims about how quiet this car is but I can hear gas in the tank, seems odd to me. Obviously it's worse if I don't have a full tank. Anyone else hear this?

  4. I got the all weather mats with my vehicle. I don't like them the driver side does not cover well enough and the rear does not seem to fit. A lot of excess mat over the hump. I bought the weather techs for the front and the weather tech liner for the rear both fit great. I kept the ford ones in the back since no one sits back there much.

  5. This is getting ridiculous my is rattling just like before now I'm hearing other rattles, or it could just be in my head. I swear it's the whole headliner now. On a side note I was driving the other day and talking on the phone through the blue tooth and its vibrating in the center console sometimes. I thought that was something inside the console so I took everything out still vibrating when people speak. This is new as I have a long commute and use the time to call people, it's never done this before. I starting to think this thing is just be one constant rattle trap.

  6. Mine is going back in tomorrow, the dealer said they would have it at least three days. They also said that they have done this repair to 3 others so far, and have had positive results, so I am hoping this is it.

Doug what repair are they having success with? they did the metal bend on mine and it did not work plus they got my headliner dirty all over it from the service techs hands when he was reinstalling it. Going back tomorrow so they can clean it.

  7. Talked to my service adviser a few days ago, he checked to see if there was anything new from when the Ford Engineers came in and checked out the other two that have the same problem that my dealer is handling, so far nothing on a fix, but he did originally say it could take up to six weeks or so. I am not even taking mine back until something more comes in from the engineers. The original fix for the problem, that did not work for me or the other two, was to re-weld a bracket for the moonroof. As soon as I hear something, I will post it.

Mine is at the shop now been there all week, I dropped it of before I went on vacation so they could take their time. Dealer called yesterday said they had a TSB on it and sent it to the body shop to have a some metal bent over. I'm assuming that's the same as others have described that did not work. I pick it up on Monday when I return, I'll let you know.

  8. Got mine back the other day. While I will admit it's is better, it's not completely gone. They seem to have taken care of the rattle on the drivers side but the one near the rear hatch is still there and getting worse. I'm convinced it's the magnets in the headliner. When they had the headliner off I moved the magnets back and forth and it's the same sound. I tried to tell them but I guess it went unnoticed. My service provider did state to me that this was step one. So I guess it has to go back again.

  9. I have the rattle in the headliner as well. Took it into the dealer they ordered parts for the top plastic pieces they put them in but still hear the rattle. They called and said they wanted to drop the headliner. I'm supposed to get it back tomorrow. I went to get something out of it and took some pics I'll try to post them.

  10. I have a rattle that I thought was coming from behind the drivers seat near the floor. Tech drove around with me and found it was coming from above. When he pushed up on the headliner he could recreate the rattle. Found all of the plastic trim around the sunroof was loose. It was in the shop today and they said that they put some kind of mic in the car to isolate the rattle. They are saying it's the loose trim around the sunroof. The trim is very loose by the rear door drivers side and the very back on the passenger side near the hatch. They have ordered all new clips and will replace when they come in. Am I wasting my time what do you think. when the tech pushed up in the headliner the plastic on the top of the car would flex so it is possible that's the cause. Any thoughts????

  11. Yup its a "cool" factor which is why majority SE/SEL drivers are upset. They aren't part of cool crowd. I know how it is. I had a 13 SE with no front DRLs and had to get the Drivebrights to look cool like everyone else

. Ok then we are all in agreement. Really glad I didn't get the SEL I was looking at. I have never been part of the cool crowd before now and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I will say that Nick you must be the leader because your ride looks sick, much respect. It looks like something Batman would drive on his day off.

  12. I have found the back cover section of the edge very cheaply made, it just sits there and does not lock in weary well. I had a grand Cherokee and it was a much better design, locked in place and had plastic bins. The ford design is terrible and whom ever designed it should go back to Lego Land. Mine was not even and I had to trim one of the foam bins to make the cover sit flush. Did anyone else have the same problem and how did you fix it?

Did any get a cargo cover? I see the spots where it would fit but my edge did not come with one. I search the accessories and don't see one for sale.
