  1. I did it. I finally bit the bullet and ordered today!

    Titanium

    Shadow black

    302 package

    Cold weather package

    Drivers assist

Now begins the long 6-8 week wait!!

I was able to get the window sticker generated online and was told by the dealer my build should start sometime next week! Glad things are at least progressing even though I wish it would just get here already ?

  2. There was some surprising news towards the end of that video. He said that starting in Spring, you can order the Edge with Sync Connect (4G modem and App). Since I'm close to ordering/buying, that was very intriguing to me.

I just got off an online chat at the Ford.com build site. They couldn't confirm that information.

Does anyone know of a "Spring Refresh" of the 2016 Edge?

That would be interesting to know about the sync connect. I know the 17 escape will be the first one to have it, so I wouldn't expect the edge to get it until after the escape reaches the lots. I'm just guessing though. I wonder if it will come on a "refresh" or if they will just wait for the 17 model of the edge to put it on
  3. Ordered Ruby Red/Ceramic Titanium with 302A, Drivers Pkg & 20" wheels. Build date yesterday, hope to have in 3 weeks or so

Wow, 3 week turn around time?! That seems quick. Hopefully that comes through. I'm thinking of finally ordering soon. I wonder if mine will come that quick once I finally pull the trigger

  4. Just ordered my 2016 Edge Sport through Costco:

    Shadow Black

    401A Pkg

    21" Wheels

    Pano Roof

    Adaptive Cruise

    Cold Weather Pkg

    Cargo Acc Pkg

    Locking Wheel Nuts

$45,553.71 + TT&L (minus any other incentives available at time of delivey)

I can get the Z plan through a family member, with the minus incentives at time of delivery, I was told that if I place an order, I would get whatever incentives that would be available at the time of the order, or what would be available on delivery. Which ever one would be better. Does anyone know if this is true? While there seems to be little incentives at the moment, I am trying to wait until the auto show in my area to see if there will be any type of regional or local incentives at that time and then order then if I was indeed told the correct process. Sorry if that sounds confusing. I'm just trying to figure out how that part of the Ordering process works

  5.

    Nothing. They're still shipping 2015s. The 2016s don't start until 12/2 anyway.

It is disconcerting that they're having so many issues. I'm trying to wait on ordering a 2016 until they work out these factory issues.

I was thinking of trying to wait as well at the moment. But we shall see how long I might be able to hold off

  6. I am 100% sure that they are taking orders. Try going to another dealer and when they say "we're still taking orders for 15s" tell them that you are willing to put down a deposit today if they'll place an order for a 2016. Then before leaving get a print out that shows the dealer order # with your selected trim and options. Nobody is sitting on orders. They have already begun scheduling. But from what I hear dealer stock orders get scheduled first initially.

Thanks for the advice cab! I'll definitely look into this

  7. Hi guys, new here but I plan on ordering an edge in the near future. Where are people from that they are able to array order one. Here in northeast Ohio, there is no one taking orders as far as I know. Perhaps they are taking orders that people are putting in and then just sitting on them until they can send them to where ever the next step.

Also, I'm glad I've stumbled upon this forum. It is very insightful.
