I think that I will change the pump since I currently have time, and it's not that expensive on Rockauto.
I've ordered a power steering pump and belts(since I'll be taking them off).
I'll probably change the Motomaster fluid to Valvoline when replacing the pump.
Can you reply as to the procedure you used to change the pump? It looks like a PITA.

After changing the pump and bleeding, it still makes noise. Mostly when turning from a stop.
I've used the Motomaster fluid, since it's what I had on hand.
I have trouble finding Valvoline Synthetic MaxLife fluid locally. Is there any alternative to the valvoline? I can easily have Castrol https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/castrol-transmax-full-synthetic-multi-vehicle-atf-0289195p.html#srp
My current options are the following:
-look for pinch on the new pressure line: done, no pinch found. I'll try to release the brackets to see if they apply restriction on the line.
-replace the banjo bolt, new line didn't have a new one
-change fluid to synthetic (Valvoline, Castrol)
-take an appointment at my local dealer
Currently, my most plausible guess would be the new pressure line. With the old one and enough fluid, it wouldn't do any noise.
Otherwise, it could be a contamination that got into the system, perhaps the rack itself.

It's all in the prep. Did you wash the car after claybarring? If not, that's gonna be a problem. Did you compound and polish before the NXT? If not, that could be a problem. Paint looks cloudy if not prepped correctly. Lose the NXT and use Blackfire Wet Diamond.

I am new to this site, and just bought a 2013 Edge SEL for the old lady. I also have lots of professional detailing experience and would be happy to provide advice when/where requested.
Some Observations:
1. There are lots of fine detailing products out there; there is no "best" compound or polish or wax/synthetic. I have my favorites and tend to stick with them, although I am not averse to trying something new. Detailing products have come a long way in the last five years.
2. You'll never accomplish Jack-S#!t removing swirls/RIDS or holograms by hand. Get a D/A and a good selection of foam or microfiber pads to correct damaged paint.
3. Correcting Damaged paint is a (minimum) three step process: Compounding, Polishing, and Last Step Product (Wax/synthetic/coating). You can add Clay-barring to that list if necessary.
4. My current "go-to" products are: Meguiars M101 (compound); Meguiars M205 (Polish); and Blackfire Wet Diamond synthetic "wax." I can toss in Wet Glaze 2.0 as a last step gloss enhancer. I use a Griots Garage 6" polisher. Lots of power. Use Lake Country foam pads (mostly). Get a good light to see your work clearly and use a roll-about stool to save your back.
5. I have never found a tire shine product that is all that great.
6. Go online to learn how to use all this stuff. Some good instructional Videos on AutoGeek.
7. Black paint sucks!
8. People have no idea how much time it takes to do a perfect paint restoration job. Most people want to pay $99.95 for a detail. Ain't gonna happen!
9. It's all in the prep!

Recently purchased a 2013 Edge SEL with the V6. What perfomance mods have you guys done that actually work?

Welcome, Jay, congrats on the '13 Edge! Nice rides, what mods have you made to the Lightning?
Magnaflow exhaust; Hi performance valve body in trans; CAI; 4 lb overdrive pulley for SC boost; Predator tune.

It's hard to screw up applying wax, either real wax or sealant. the shine is really all in the prep work. Did you compound and polish before waxing? You have to get all the swirl marks and haze out of the paint first.

Car "darts" all over the road
in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Posted
2013 Edge; V6. The car's steering causes it to "dart" all over the road...like there is "slop" in the steering. Steering holds steady, but when "correcting" there seems to be too much travel in the wheel; the car will then suddenly "dart" and correction needs to be applied to the steering wheel to return the car to it's course. Hard to drive in a straight line because of constant need to "correct" the course of the vehicle. We did have a power steereing issue where the banjo fittings on the hoses leaked. Steering pump probably got low on fluid. Could pump wear be the cause?
