I installed Kicker cs693 6x9 speakers in my 2012 Edge. ($99 at best buy) The bass is impressive with a crisp sound (without being tinny). I like them a lot!

Now be advised that these are NOT the correct size speakers for this car. I did a bit of a hack by using snips and 2" drywall screws.

They fit better in the rear. The front ones are too deep and hit a bracket in the door. They are actually mounted 1/2" proud of the intended position.

(you should put insulating material between the bracket and the speaker magnet - it can vibrate on high bass songs)

If you don't want a "hack job," don't attempt this !!!

I also cleaned the 8 inch screen with a cotton cloth and toothpaste. (My girlfriend suggested it)

I wasn't sure it would work when I started - otherwise I would have taken pictures.

I fixed it about 3 months ago.

I just used ordinary silicone (GE i think)

My only question is where did you get the sound source? Is there an rca plug on the stock radio?

If you are brave, you can clean the lens inside the camera. I used a hacksaw blade to slice the camera box open and remove the circuit board. The camera is dirty behind the circuit board. I glued it back together with silicone it is very clear now.

I was able to clean the camera on my 2012 Edge. I removed the camera and sliced the box open with a hacksaw blade. I then removed the circuit board and cleaned the screen under that component. I glued the box back together with silicone. I also took the lenses out and cleaned all(5) of them. It has a very good picture now. I could have paid the $115 on ebay, but I was lucky (and happy) to find the problem.
