  1. I finally heard back from Peiker (the OEM manufacturer of the MobileEase) after several emails. I had contacted them to request documentation for their product, but was informed that they don't have a "soft copy" of the owners manual available. So ... I'm still hoping someone who has this system in service will upload the manual for me (and for others) to help decide if this is the right system.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Pete in VA.

OMG!!! I totally forgot about this! I am so sorry Peter! I'll have to put the manual in my purse so that I remember it tomorrow morning. Stay tuned..don't give up yet :)

  2. I have the mobile ease and I love it! The sound quality is great and it is sooo easy to use. I have it installed in a nice place too, in the blank spot somewhat behind the steering wheel to the left of the center cluster (I hope I explained that right). The mic is installed at the very top most corner part of my windshield (not on the headliner or the plastic column next to it). If you look at the very top, there is a bit of tint and it is concealed by that.

My husband works at a dealer, so I am not sure how much it cost. He also installed it himself, so unfortunately I can't help with that either

  3. I installed this REAR VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM in my edge back in apr...very nice system for under $200.00. FIRST PHOTO is of rear view mirror that has integrated lcd monitor, it mounts on your existing edge rear view mirror and comes on and shows views from rear when you go into reverse. Serves as a regular rear view(so u can see the kids)when not in reverse. Second photo is metal chrome license plate with the lcd camera mounted into the frame. This is full metal chrome..not plastic chrome. I was surprised at the clarity of the camera and monitor for under $200. Money well spent. post-650-1183056673_thumb.jpgpost-650-1183056688_thumb.jpg

How does it mount on to the existing mirror? Do you have a picture of yours?

    Thanks!

  4. My husband installed HIDs on my Edge. They look really nice and are soooo much better than the factory lights. My vision at night isn't the greatest and they help me out tons :yup:

This weekend he is going to have installed MobileEase while I am away for the weekend, yay!

  5. They are. I think the other polishes listed above are for all of the OTHER chrome on our Edge's. But it was good to point that fact out again!

Yes, the "chrome clad" rims are plastic with chrome color paint and I do think that treating them like they are real chrome would definitely ruin them. My husband polished my rims with Blue Magic polish and the shine has lasted through many washings. It helps getting any brake dust off of them too. My two cents.

  6. I thought that I had posted this here, but I think it was over at fordedge.org. On my last fill up at +/-2500 miles I got 22.5 mpg on about 90% city and 10% freeway. I am very pleased with the improvement. Previously I was getting 15-16 mpg. I hope this keeps up :yup: ...epecially with the gas prices going up. I live in CA and yes, they predict it to go over $4, but I think they said that last year and it never did.

  7. That's funny. I asked 3 different salesman and was told there was nothing like a bluetooth on any 2007 model, even if you order one now. Maybe it is not available in Canada.

If the 2008 model is available in a few months that is great. i will wait for it and hope that I can get wireless cel without paying for the whole sync package.

    Hi Donna,

The bluetooth "option" is actually and add-on, it is called MobilEase. You can order it through your dealer and have it installed once you get your Edge in. Here is the accessory:

  8. We have the same Edge ! Pewter Metallic but interior Charcol . I also got the Panoramic Roof. I love this color. Will be posting photos soon :shades:

I have the Pewter Metallic/Charcoal Int. with the Panoramic Roof too :yup: I have had it for two weeks and hae received several compliments on it. The pewter is a nice color and goes well with the dark interior.

  9. Thanks Everyone!!!! I think this car is great! My husband and I can't wait to take in on a road trip.

Zeus - My Edge was built in January and my gauge colors are green. I read on this forum somewhere that they are supposed to be blue now, but I haven't read that anywhere else or have seen an Edge with blue guages yet. It would be nice, but I don't mind the green too much. Then again that could be because we only own Fords and I am used to it :yup:

  10. I bought my Edge on Satuday! I wasn't supposed to get a new car yet, but I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and my Escape was totaled. I got the SEL+ in Pewter Metallic with Charcoal interior, vista moonroof, Navigation...and everything else except AWD (love that D-Plan!). I absolutely love it!!! I think Ford did a great job with this one :yup:

  11. I just bought my Edge with Charcoal interior on Saturday and I didn't notice it at all until I thought of this forum and looked for it, LOL!!! I can see the dash glare if I look for it, otherwise I don't even notice it and it doesn't bother me at all and I live in sunny southern California.

  12. Hello,

I just bought my Edge last night :shades: I got it fully loaded with everything except AWD. I have been trying to figure out how to set my Sirius presets (through the navigation console). In the manual it explains how to do it for FM, but not for the Satellite. I tried doing it the same way by holding down the preset number on the screen, but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to set these? I feel like such a dope that I can't figure it out

    Thanks for the help!

    Tamee

Okay, I figured it out! I thought the direct entry buttons were the preset buttons....duh!
