Report My "new" Edge 2013 in Owner Impressions Posted September 21, 2016 I bought a used Ford Edge 2013 SEL 2 months ago, I though I'd share my first impressions : PROS - Smooth driving, silent enough - Good acceleration when needed (3.5l), but I dont like the way it shifts down the gears one by one. - Seating is good, even for long distance, much less back pain than on my previous car - Large enough to fit 3 car seats, without being too large (like a minivan) or too long (like 3 seating rows cars) - Good looking CONS - Very few easily/quickly accessible stowage compartment for wallet/phone/change - Heavy doors have to be slammed hard to avoid being ajar - SYNC interface is counter intuitive (at least the non-touch one) - Too many buttons and redundant functions around the screen. Who needs a full numpad ?? - Bad smell in the cabin when going high in RPMs. Having the air recycling on seems to eliminate the problem. - USB stays on even when engine is off, bad for dash cam installation IMHO.. Love the Pros, and can live with the Cons, so I like the car overall, I'd buy it again if I had the choice, but I'd take the touch sync. 2
