  1. Just for fun, would a few of you tune into Sirius 17 and say what channel it shows as the title? This summer SiriiusXM has turned 17 into a special channel called Yachtrocks. My 2 XM receivers show the new temporary name, but the Sirius receiver has not changed and still says the "Love" channel. Curious if this normal or just our radio. If normal it makes me more curious as to why my XM receivers have picked up this new name for channel 17 and Sirius have not.

  2. I used Forscan to turn on the DRL's in my wife's 2013 Edge. I have the parking lamps activated as the DRL's. I like to use Silverstar headlamp bulbs and I don't want them running all the time. Too pricey to replace. I thought if you had factory activated DRL's there was a menu option to switch them around. Is that not correct? Either way, Forscan is a neat software if you are not afraid to look at your Edge system and see what is active, look for trouble codes, etc.. I bought my ELM plug-in device off of Amazon that you have to have to plug into the OBD port in the vehicle.

  3. Thanks for the video, but I still do not see where it is located.. Looking in the engine compartment I can't find it either. I though my Sport Trac PCV was in a bad location, but I can't even find the Edge one..

  4. Does the 2013 Edge with 3.5l have a pcv valve? I purchased one from Rockauto when I ordered a few other things and now I can't seem to find a PCV vale on my Edge. I also do not find it referenced in the Owner's Manual. Can anyone tell me for certain if there is one, and if so, where it is?

  5. On my 2013 Edge there are 2 issues that I am wondering if the APIM is causing the problem. My Edge has the MFT system with Nav, but it is not the upgraded Sony system. The first issue is the satellite radio sound quality is absolutely horrid. I have upgraded the speakers to Infinity's, but still the mid and high level sounds are horrid. I am an audio guy as part of my career, and this is not normal. Second issue is the navigation voice instructions are distorted. I can understand them, but there is a distortion similar to what an AM radio station sounds like if it is not completely tuned in. I have searched for descriptions of the APIM issue and they are very generic in describing what the symptoms may be. I am still under 60k miles, so the APIM warranty should still be in effect. I don't want to drop it off at dealer only to pay a diagnosis fee and be told there is nothing wrong..

Yes, I understand that satellite radio is highly compressed, but the XM tuners I have in my older Explorer and Sport Trac (both direct plug and play Terk units) do not sound this horrid..

I am running the current 3.8 software in my system, but it sounded like this with the 3.5 version it had when I purchased it last year.

Could this be related to the APIM issue?
