  1. Hello

I just put on put on my new winter black replica 20" rims on 255/20/50 winters (the tires were from my previous 2014 Ford Explorer )

These rims stick out more than the 21 inch

I used the bolts that were already with the 21 inch wheels so no need to buy new bolts

  2. Hello all

I just got my winter 20 inch rims. Replika r189. The reason i went with 20 inch is because i already have 255/50/20 winter tires (3 winters) from my returned lease 2014 ford explorer. So i only had to buy rims

See the 2 pictures of my brand new replika r189

Here is my question to all

It says that these new rims r189 use lug nuts "60 seat"

Can i use my oem lug nuts on these rims?

Are my oem lug nuts 60 seat?

    I dont understand this terminology

    Thank you

  3. Hello all

I bought my 21 inch sport edge. (This car mooooves wow!!)

I want to buy 20 inch wheels for winter

I already have 255/20/50 winter tires from my ford explorer (3 winters with those winter tires) so i thought of buying 20 inch rims

These are the rims i want to buy rwc LR88 the LR88 has a direct fit

    20x8.5 5x108 ET45 CB63.4

    http://www.rwcwheels.com/en/site/collection/wheel-collection/land-rover/lr88-black

Because the offset these tires will stick out about 5mm more than the 265 of the 21 inch rims

And the height of the wheels is 2.5% more than the 265 of the 21 inch

    Question

Will the size difference in tires affect the odometer?

Will the fact that my winter tires stick out about 5mm more cause me issues?

Anyone have any other suggestions for 20 inch rims with direct fit only?

Im looking for direct fit only

    Thanks

  4. Jumped in my wife's Edge to check the oil and noticed that while not a long trip she just did a round trip of about 15 miles with that short trip showing 28.5 mpg. We live in a very hilly/mountainous area so even that 15 miles had some nice climbs, curves, flats, and descents. My 05 F150 could take a few lessons from these new motors and their associated technology.

We have also found that using the adaptive cruise when on bigger open roads gives the best mpg, as the slow downs and speed ups are really smoothed out preventing the engine from wasting fuel from harsh changes in speed.

  5. Hi

I think there is something wrong with my fuel meter

From a full tank and after i drove about 300km my fuel indicator stated i was low on fuel and fuel needle was at empty .... This was weird

So i went to the gas station and filled up. I only used 15 liters to fill back up to full status ... 15 liters is not much

So after filling up with 15 liters my fuel needle is backup to full

My fuel reading is between 21L/100km-25L/100

Can anyone confirm: on a full tank my reading states 394km Distance to Empty

Thats about 245 miles Distance to empty

    Can you guys please confirm?

    I have pictures

    How do i post pictures?

  6. Also keep in mind that these Sports have a pretty small fuel tank. It will get better as I am now at 24 mpg after 1300 miles on the highway at 60 mph. City driving is usually not very kind to these vehicles in general as idling and accelerating uses a lot of petrol.

I replaced a 2014 ford explorer (6 cylinder) that was getting me a little over 19 L/100km in city driving, i will see if the ford edge sport which right now is at 22L/100km can match the ford explorer

    We will see

Also what should i do about the 4inch scratch (not deep but visible in the clear-coat on top side of the rear spoiler) i dont want the dealer touching my car anymore. I will get this buffed out by a professional???

I had to also very delicatly remove any tiny glass fragments that were stuck to the paint. All this becuase the dealer broke the rear window. At least they teplaced the window.

  7. LOOOL don't worry about that, the reason its so high is because the engine spent most of its time idling or being driven slowly , which consumes fuel like crazy, especially when its new. I get like 35L /100km when I reset the trip computer and sit in the parking lot for 30 mins. Just ignore it, break in the engine, after about 400 km you'll see a change, then once break in is over after ~1200 -1500 km you'll get a consistent reading.

I will give it a bit of time but i am worried seeing i drove 60 km and used up 1/4 of a tank DAMN!!!

Also the dealer scratched the top part of my rear window spoiler when they replaced the rear window

  8. How many miles are on the new car?? I gave mine 3 tanks of gas before even taking the mpg readings with a grain of salt. It needs to break in

The car has 90km (thats about 56miles)

i understand that the fuel economy will improve but it is REALLY bad right now

And im driving slow.....it is all city driving i might add

  9. Omg

I just got my ford edge sport (dealer broke my rear window , they replaced it) it now has less than 100km it actually has 90km on it, i am getting around 22L/100km

    My numbers are awfull!!!

Did anyone else experience the same?

    Thanks in advance
