  1. I am sure this will fit many different Ford as well, but All I know is where it came from. I bought an after market Alpine with Satellite/MP3/HD all the bells and whistles. This is a nice stereo in excellent condition.

I used to be a Ford Edge Owner thats why I am posting in here.

    Thanks.

  2. Thanks to all of you. I am very excited.

    @ rehtaf,

If you hunt/fish... a lifetime license for a child costs almost nothing in most states if purchased before they turn one year old.
    - AWESOME! Thanks I did not know that.

Here is the new 500. I must say, I am really liking this Ford vehicle as well.

  3. Well. I am not sure I went into many details in my personal life but we are expecting our first child this December. (so I have 5 months still) We are also trying to sell a house and buy a new one. The child was unexpected, but we are excited non the less. However, I would have never bought a new car let alone what I did to get into my Edge, lol.

I needed to somehow Drastically reduce my monthly payments so I could be ready for my new $900/month daycare mortgage!!!

    Long story shortened...

I went back to my dealer and worked out some sort of crazy deal. I am turning in my Edge and getting a 2006 Ford 500 SEL (pretty loaded other than leather). I really like the car and I actually was able to cut my payments by $200/month. WOO HOO

So, as saddened as I am to get rid of the Edge I am relieved since this will help us out tremendously in the long run.

Sorry I complained so much about my MPG (that was really my only issue) I will miss my Edge and all the looks I got when I drive by people.

Good luck and best wishes to the those I leave behind. Since I am still in the Ford Family, I may check in from time to time to see how you folks are doing.

    -Jim

  4. Yeah, you have to wonder what other motives these people have who rank vehicles the way they do. I agree with Edgy Girl, listen to the people!!!

I may have had a few complaints in here, but do not misunderstand me...I as well as my wife, LOVE the Edge. A guy I work with bought a Murano and so far he loves that as well. He never drove mine and I never drove his. But @ Gtessex, he is one of those people who will only buy the CHEAPEST gas. So his Murano will NEVER see premium fuel. With that said, he is still claiming an average of 19-20mpg local driving?

So, screw the critics, we like our Edge and as long as it keeps driving the comfy way it has been for me, without any mechanical problems in the near future...I will continue to love it!

  5. Well I just filled up today (this was my 19th recorded fill up since I bought my Edge). Today was tied for the BEST MPG I have got yet. 17.7!

I have been able to go over 300 miles on 2 occasions so far. This last week which was about 70% city driving (305 miles) and on March 13, 2007 I went 312 miles. which also worked out to exactly 17.7 mpg.

I leave for a road trip tomorrow which should be about 70-80% highway, I hope to break into the 20's on that tank! :burnout:

  6. Welcome aboard! The Blazing copper is a nice color. They didnt and still dont have any at my dealer. They do have a lot more now than when I bought mine, but still no blazing copper? I think every dealer should always have one in stock due to the commercials...right?

  7. Looks like fun. I actually had my first run in with disaster the other day. I slowly back into a "log". As I heard it hit the Passenger side rear bumper, I quickly stopped. Slowly began to pull forward and I heard a noise you do not like to hear.

I got out and looked...sure enough, it was behind the dam plastic and pulled it out. Not very noticeable but for a new car and the screws being pulled out of the plastic...I AM A LITTLE TICKED AT MYSELF!

Grrr....sorry a little off topic. I guess since the forum is small and inactive, I thought it was ok to Hi-Jack your thread, lol

  8. This may be a stupid question. But I never heard of TSB's before. I also never really surfed forums on any of my other vehicles either?

Anyway, if I am experiencing one of these problems. I just call the dealer and mention the TSB# and schedule an apoointment and everything is covered under warranty correct?

    Thanks.

  9. After 1 minute of idleing with the A/C set at 60* and recirculating the temperature inside the vents was at 56*

After 5 minute of idleing with the A/C set at 60* and recirculating the temperature inside the vents was at 40*

Not sure on the time, but I actually had the temps drop as low as 32* inside the vents.

Well, sounds like you just might have THE best AC in any Ford Edge? LOL, I am pretty sure mine will not blow temps in the low 30's. I highly doubt even the 40's. We don't even have too many BLAZING hot days here in Pittsburgh, but we have some heat. I have not done anything to the extent you have, my tests are just by pure feel...I know what cold air feels like and maybe there is a recall on some AC units in our near future?
