I installed my XM inno radio exactly as you did.

I'm thinking about buying the Inno since I have two XM subscriptions already. Are you happy with the reception? Did you have to use an external antenna?

Yes, I replaced my foglight bulbs with HIDS. Pic 4, 5 and 6 are just the foglights with HIDs. The bulb is an H11. Let me know if you need any other angle.

Thanks DJG. I would like to replace the fogs only, but will I need the ballasts for the H11's?

Were the foglamps on the Edge also replaced with HID's? If so, can you post the link for that?

I've been driving in the mountains and must say that I like the transmission now. If you take it out of overdrive on a long mountain grade it will automatically keep down shifting to maintain your speed. If I crest Vail pass at 60 and kick it out of overdrive then it will downshift to 5th. If I just keep coasting faster it will shift to 4th when it hits about 64. Let her roll and it will shift tio 3rd all by itself to hold you speed constant. It's just like cruise controll holding your speed but keeping you slowed down instead of at speed. Very cool. it works on small hills also so give it a try and you see how it works.

Have you tried your engine braking (OD off) in the snow? Thx.

The one thing I really don't like about my Edge so far is that I can't or am afraid to downshift since it's either D or L. I try not to use my brakes too mucn in the snow or wet weather, but w does this affect your slowing down. I do take it out of OD and it seems to do a halfway decent job of engine braking.

After reading all points and counter points, how about some feedback on the installs now. What you could have done better, should have bought, done did right, done did wrong etc.

Welcome to the club. Give us a comparison of the Edge and your wife"s Torrent. I've always read that

the Torrent/Equinox are pieces of junk. True of false?

I wouldn't say that the Equinox / Torrent are pieces of junk, but I like the Edge MUCH better! One thing I hate about the Torrent / Equinox is that the turning radius is horrible. One thing I dislike about the Edge is that I'm not able to engine brake as much since it's only either L or D.

After being without an SUV for myself (my wife has a Torrent), I decided to get back into something similar. I picked up an 08 Edge Limited, Vapor Silver with Black Leather Seats. While lurking through the forum, I saw that some of you had bought a side molding in attempt to stop door dings. Nothing more frustrating!!! So I went on EBay and bought one from Sportwing and had it installed at a local body shop. They didn't want to charge me, but I gave them a gift card to a local sandwich shop. Next to purchase is the trunk liner. What a pleasure to drive. Now if I can only get my Blackberry to Sync correctly so I can hear the phone GPS over the sound system.
