  1. So those errors are all related to communications. Programmer couldn't talk to ECM and TCM after it started the process.

    So, a few things:

    1) Everything off?

    2) Don't open or close doors.

    3) Battery low?

    4) Make sure connection is secure to the OBDII connector. Use some force.

I had the same issue with the 91 and 93 Aggressive tunes, got the same 3 fault codes, in my case I found my battery was reading 11.9 after staying overnight, I removed and fully charged it and made sure to discharge all power from the car before connecting it back, also I let the car do its learning process after connecting the battery and went ahead and upload the 93 Performance tune, since then the car runs pretty well and the issues I had with shifting from 1-2 and 2-3 are gone completely it shifts very smooth now.

  2.

Yes, similar shifting, but I realized since it shifted kinda high I was getting a bit of wheel hop on the 1-2 shift. Lowered shift points and stopped the hop and actually was a bit quicker.

How long does it take for the transmission to relearn after you upload a new tune? I testing the Aggressive tune with firm shifts but still it's banging between 1-2 2-3 shifts.

  3. I want to say there are three different types of tunes avail. from LMS.

    1. First LMS tune which isn't known as "aggressive", the first one they came out with.

    2. Aggressive tune which had firmer shifts and something else change (can't remember off the top of my head)

    3. Chris Larsen special (me)... which is lowered shift points (proven to be quicker) and while in sport mode if you use the paddle shifters it kept the gear you wanted no matter how much throttle you gave (10% vs 100%).... which is good for dynoing and good if you just didn't want the car to downshift

Are you using the 93 Aggressive tune with firm shifts? if so did the shifting acts like the 91 Aggressive tune with firm shifts you reviewed before?

  4. I have a quick question, what is the latest versions of the LMS tunes for the aggressive and performance and if there are different revisions of them (e.g. Shift points or firmness)

    Thanks
