  1. I just replaced my camera with ease thanks to everyone here. I installed the replacement camera i bougth off eBay for $50.

The image is upside down. The part number on the replacement camera i have is BT4T-19G490-AF. Im sure for $50 it is not a ford oem part of course. The only difference i see is my original ends with a E instead of the F. Obviously this isnt going to work can someone point me in the right direction where i could get a camera that will work besides going to ford for it? A link a ebay store, im just not sure what to get i dont want to have to ship another one back. Thank you in advance.

Same issue with the first camera I bought on ebay, image upside down and no calibration possible. I have returned it and bought this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-OEM-11-12-Edge-Rear-View-Backup-Back-Up-Camera-BT4Z19G490B/162171150605

More expensive but is OEM, and works perfectly fine on my 2012 Edge.

  2. That listing does not come up. Is it an aftermarket camera or OEM?

Not sure here 's the description:

"We Purchase The Item From Factory With OEM Quality

    Description:

2011-2013 Ford Edge Lincoln MKX Rear Reverse Parking Camera BT4T-19G490-AF BT4Z-19G490-B"

Maybe not OEM. There's quite a lot of choices on eBay, not sure which one to buy next. Has anyone replaced with one from eBay recently ?

  3. I tried yesterday to replace the camera on my 2012 Edge (Limited , FWD V6), with this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Rear-View-Reverse-Backup-Camera-BT4Z19G490B-For-Ford-Edge-Lincoln-MKX-2011-13-/162562036227

The image was upside down, and I couldn't calibrate it with ForScan. My old camera can still calibrate but disconnects frequently.

I will return it, but wonder why it didn't work. Is it because it's a Gen-2 ? There's a lot of BT4Z19G490B's available now but not sure which one to order now. Any recommendation ? thanks.

  4. I have the same camera issues on my 2012 Edge (lost the lines, etc). I would like to order an OBDII adapter to try to re-activate it and see if it will lose the signal again. I'm still unsure if I need the more expensive OBDII MX ($80) that supports MS-CAN, or a cheap OBDII without MS-CAN can work for that purpose (re-calibrate/activate the camera ) ?

    thank you
