I have a 08 Lincoln MKX. Last year we had the lovely coil pack/ pcm issue with it. It was over the 80,000 mile mark so i fixed it myself. Bought a used, reflashed pcm, coil packs, and plugs. I bought aftermarket coil packs, not the oem. Well last week started doing the same thing. Check engine light flashing and cutting out very bad. It was only throwing a P0302 code. So i was hoping to get lucky and picked up a low mileage coil from our local LKQ off a MKZ. Ran fine for a week and same thing happened but it was a P0301 code. So still hoping to get lucky, i picked up the other 5 oem coils off the same MKZ at lkq and swapped them out. Got about a mile down the road on the test drive and bam same crap. So with this being a known problem, can the pcm repair shop not fix this when repairing the pcm? Also, i know oem coil packs should be used, but have people had bad luck with the aftermarkets? Its hard to drop that kind of coin on the factory replacements.
