  1. oh never knew that thanks! i will get a chance to do it probably in a couple days when a cool front moves in lol. unless you just mean the car itself just doesn't need to have been ran for a while then ill check tonight haha!

  2. I forget what the technical name is for our little flaps that open and close depending on speed for aero drag efficiency. Is there any way to test these ourselves without having a camera mounted on the grill? Reason I ask is my Torque app showed me a possible Module failure with mine but I'm not actually sure if anything is wrong or if it is just a compatibility issue with the app reading a PID wrong.

  3. Everything about the Oil change was actually the easiest I have ever done minus that one small seal that goes on the oil filter cap tip. I wound up using to screw drivers in a scissor action to thread it after 5 or so minutes trying to do it by hand. I do have to say I enjoy how convenient the newer style oil plug is to remove and put back on.

  4. I doubt its about waiting for someone else to do the research more than one assuming someone may already have the knowledge without searching. It is also common sense to post the question on a forum while at the same time searching it on your own as well. It is fairly simple don't read or reply to someones post if it causes you to melt.

  5. Ohhhh I didn't realize the $1450 was for all of them. That makes a little more sense to me now. Thanks for the heads up on that $177 isnt that bad then. I'm basically wanting just good breakdowns of the engine bay and such to get a good idea of exactly where everything is This engine bay is so compact its hard to see everything lol.

  6. I noticed this as I was taking stuff off and looking around the intake setup. In the rubber intake accordion hose as I call it coming from the Airbox there looks to be 2 little ports directing air elsewhere. One of the ports the seal or whatever looks possibly warped. I tried touching it with a flat head and it didn't budge felt hard. Anyone noticed anything similar with theirs? ill attach a couple picture. sorry for the somewhat blurry picture the phone did not want to focus.

  7. I did quite a bit of searching didnt come across anything close to the amount of in-depth schematics im looking for Minus helminc and i had forgot about Chilton lol. I will check them out. Just not keen on paying Helm 1k for it.

  8. Minus Helminc are there any schematics/documentation of the layout to take apart or put back together/repair everything for the Edge. The biggest thing ive missed going from GM to Ford these last 3-4 years is ive been able to attain complete schematics for basically every nut and bolt for my GM vehicles without having to pay an arm or a leg. Just curious if anyone was able to get there hands on anything of the sort.

Yep you mentioned exactly what I was seeing I could see light around the hood latch area from that tube. and you are not lying I have never seen such a horrible design Especially for FI. multiple hard 90 degree turns. Honey combing inside the top of the airbox which causes air turbulence. I guess the Edge just isn't a big enough money maker in the aftermarket world for companies to make anything.

     

    I have been trying to figure out on the vaccar sema edge what the guy did about the air sensor in the top of the removed airbox or if he just never actually drives the thing and just made it look pretty for show and didn't even re-hook that back in somewhere.

  10. haha! yea i was already looking at the intake and what not before it got dark trying to figure out how its all piped. the stock airbox is a horrible design for smooth airflow and I am guessing its like pulling air from right under the hood ni that little gap area?

  11. either im blind or just not looking in the right spot but i cannot find anything mentioning the RPM limit. I'm assuming the redline on these vehicles are not at the 4750 rpm listed for its peak HP as that seems fairly low but i guess i could be wrong. so does anyone happen to know what is the redline for the RPM? This mainly just for parameters in my Torque app to get accurate readings.

  12. Yea I plan on getting it tuned. just was curious about the actual products that make up the turbo setup. this is probably a dumb question.. what does PTU stand for? ive only ever driven rwd muscle cars and can't recall seeing those 3 letters haha.

  13. I did some searching and couldn't find specifics on what turbos are being used in conjunction with the 2.7. was just curious on the brand/size. Also is it even possible to put in larger turbos or is that not an option? I had read the 2.7 has a little different setup with how the turbos are bolted in vs most setups. I plan to get a 2015 Edge sport Tomorrow and im just thinking about what things i may modify if its possible.
