This feature is called 'Courtesy wipe.' You can disable it in the vehicle settings on your instrument panel. If you switch it off, it will no longer wipe the last time.

The weird part is that the filter and the filter assembly are all hard plastic except for the three O rings thats seals them in place. All those were intact when I changed them. These pieces are definitely from somewhere else. Looks like broken pieces or a rubber gasket. Even has a part number ending in 'M' written on one of the pieces.

Yes, it was its first oil change. The yellow drain plug O ring was perfect. These bits and pieces were found at the bottom of the oil filter housing next to engine. I did clean it and put a new filter back with new O rings. I want to believe that these are just excess gasket material from somewhere. Hopefully wont have any affect on the engine longevity.

First, please move this post to the appropriate section if not posted correctly. I recently changed oil at 1000 miles on my new 2016 edge sport that has the 2.7 ecoboost. Overall, it was a fairly simply process. However, I discovered some torn pieces of rubber/silicone material stuck in the oil filter element and also at the bottom of the housing assembly. The old filter had 3 O-ring gaskets which I replaced with 3 new gaskets so they were intact and not torn. I don't know where these pieces could have come from. Infant little worried if something broke somewhere and bits and pieces were circulated with the oil. Would appreciate if someone can chime in!

Pictures shows the gasket like material discovered. These are not plastic pieces from the filter assembly. They are softer rubber like pieces. I couldn't find any other gaskets at the bottom once I cleaned the housing. From my understanding there are only 3 gaskets that is supposed to be replaced and the filter cap itself doesn't have a gasket of its own? Would appreciate any help!

I have always used the Morimoto stuff from TRS. I tried no less than 3 kits in my car before landing on the Morimoto stuff and I can say they are a class above the rest in terms of support, quality, and function.

Have you installed the Morimoto Stroke 2 H11 LED kit yet? If so, hows the cut off? I recently ordered one as well so curious to know.

Isn't the dust boot needs to be removed to install their led lights? They need an outlet to vent out heat.

Happened to my sport as well (plus many more issues).

 

They replaced the pannel under warranty. It was a combination of warping and adhesion failure.

are those held down with clips and adhesive both? I am taking it to dealer this weekend. hopefully they will replace it. also the one touch fold down doesn't work on my car. it makes a sound but nothing happens.

I searched everywhere on this forum but didn't find a solution to my question. The left side roof trim on my 2016 sport is coming off from front. It causes quite a lot of wind noise as well. Are those held down by clips or double sided tape? From my initial inspection, it doesn't look like there are clips there!

Came with my edge as an option but not used. They are ford oem all weather floor mats all four, front and rears. asking $80 obo shipped.

Ford makes a set to fit the front on the Sport, not a perfect fit, but it will keep mud off the doors. However, there's nothing available, OEM or aftermarket, for the rears. Just too difficult a shape to match.

 

There was a member here that posted the he had bought a rear set to fit a SEL (if I remember correctly) and had hand-trimmed them to the contour of his Sport. He never posted pictures however. I believe that that's your only option for rear mud flaps on a 2015+ Sport.

My new 2016 edge sport has this same issue. Wondering if it's worth taking it to the dealer. Read somewhere that the whole carpeting and back seats needs to be taken off in order to replace this spring part.

The nissan has the v6 engine with 240hp. It's not as quick as the sport but it's same as the titaniums 2.0T. My only gripe is the CVT but I can comprise on that for a better ride.

No I get that. I am in Eastern IA and the roads are horrible this side. My focus ST creaks and groans on most of the roads here. I wouldn't want to repeat that with the edge. Wife really wants the 2017 Nissan Murano but I find it boring to drive cars with CVT.
