I noticed there was no need to pull the dash out when changing the expansion valve.. however, I was replacing the evaporator core also so the dash needed to come out. I wouldnt recommend pulling the dash unless you have to for a leak. Took me like 4 days working off and on to change all the AC components (Condensor, compressor, expansion valve, evaporator core) put the dash back in.

Did you figure out how to do this? I have the dash out and trying figure out how to pull this evap core/ heater core / fan Assy out of the way

The bottom bolt is a stud with threads on both ends. To get it out used some big channel locks on the shank. You have get the other bolts out and the hard lines. Once that's done slide the Compressor towards the cross member and crank the bolt out.. you will start seeing threads after a little bit of cranking. Took about 5 mins.

Does anyone have the ambient air charts for low and high side pressure when servicing the AC?
