Would it also be better to replace the sub itself along with the fill or would just the fill have the same result? If replacing the sub would help even more, do you have any suggestions for a replacement sub. Reasonably priced.
Thanks

Tried adjusting sound settings similar to those shown above and it does help to improve the sound a bit. There's just this really muddy band around the miss to lows that sounds bad. I noticed that it seems to help a bit too if I move the fader back a bit. In my car, the default was right in front of the seat as graphically displayed on the sync system. I moved it behind the seats a bit and I think it helps. The problem seems to stem from a speaker or speakers above the dash.
I agree. In stereo mode I covered up the center dash speaker with one of those rubber sticky mats used to hold cell phones on the dash. It actually improved the sound and separation. Mine sounds best with Treble at MAX , Mid at MIN or 1 up and BAS at MIN to 1 or 2 up depending on source or road noise. Fader toward the back 1 bump. Still trying to get best settings for surround mode. It's a little trickier. Still doesn't sound near as good as my Old 2004 Toyota 4Runner with Premium JBL 10Speaker sys or my wife's 2012 Toyota Camry with same system.Having hard time getting tight Bass and the muddiness out of the mid to highs. Bass is to boomy sounds like it's coming out of a large metal barrel. I think if we had at least 5 to 7 equalizer bands would help a lot. My personal opinion is the crossovers are crap. Like they are set the same for all of the speakers except the sub. This should sound so much better for a $36k vehicle. JMHO & My Ears

Can I just put in a better sub in my 2016 Edge Titanium Sony 12 spkr oem system to improve the sound? I have replaced the center speaker with a JBL and it made a world of difference. Now I just want to clean up the muddy mid range base. I'm looking at either the:
Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-8
Punch Stage 3 shallow 8" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils
or
Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-8
Punch Stage 3 shallow 8" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils
Thanks
