  1. Anything other than scratching my head raw is better! Thank you for the suggestion! I'm still guessing it must have something to do with the trailer wire harness, just can't quite figure out how or why! I've redone that connection twice. The last time with solder and shrink wraps.

My buddy said it's always the ground. No matter the electrical gremlin, it's a grounding issue! lol! What one??!

    Hi-Beams Fuse (F39 15amp) Blows When Trailering

I can use my hi beams to my heart's desire as much as I want without fail... but as soon as I plug in any 4 pin trailer harness and try to use my high beams, BAM! If blows the high beams fuse #f39.

It makes no sense to me since there's nothing common that they share. I don't have high beam wires in the back or attached in any way to my trailer. The trailer lights work 100%. I'm so confused and have no idea where to start troubleshooting this problem. So far I've gone through 10 fuses!!

    - I've redone the trailer harness wires twice.

    - I've replaced the headlight bulbs.

I have no idea where to go next.

  3. Crap! Good thing I didn't pull the trigger yet on some 17inch rims I was looking at!!

So 245/60/18s will have to do. I'm one of those freaks that like a comfortable ride over trying to get a behemoth to handle imaginary slalom courses in a mall parking lot!

A lot of great info from members quite quickly! Thanks everyone!!

Good catch. It's a very tiny footnote in the order guide.

If the OP has FWD the 17s should work but if he has AWD you'll need the 245/60R18s to clear the brakes.

  4. What Size 17 inch Tires - Rough Roads

I am a new Edge owner. I just signed and am awaiting delivery of a 2014 SEL with a full load by the end of this week. This SEL has 20 inch wheels with 245-50-20s.

I will be driving a great many logging roads as I did with my RAV4 and want to move to 17 inch wheels with much more sidewall to absorb the washboard and bumps better.

What are the standard sizes I should look at with this in mind? Does a 16 inch rim fit for even more sidewall?

Keep in mind, I want to stay as close as possible to the stock diameter of the the 20s to not offset the speedo too much!

    TY!
