Any thoughts on if this update adjusts the brightness of the lights? Part of me feels like they are now putting out less light than before... (Could be just that its been crappy rainy nights this week since I had it done though...)

Wife got 25.4mpg on 87 for a 200 mile round trip the other day. First real highway trip we've taken it on, so I'm reasonably pleased.

If anyone does the mod, either exhaust or both intake and exhaust, please post back! Highly interested in both install process and results.

Its a long standing issue, for which Ford doesn't have a good repair.
I plan on doing the MOD on mine soon.
Do you have any up to date info on the Mod or how it would apply to a 2019? Surfed through some of those threads, but there are a lot of dead links.

I did 33k miles on my 2015 sport and the long term computer average was 18.9mpg. Even mix of 65mph highway and back roads at 20-40mph. (All on 87 octane)
After 1514 miles on the ST, the average is 19.2mpg. Current tank shows 19.6mpg. (Also on 87 octane) It's been slowly improving since I got above 1000 miles and presumably out of the break in.
This is pre-transmission TSB, so will be interested if I get a further improvement. But even without the TSB, my hope of the 'ST has marginally better mileage than the Sport' seems to be true thus far.
-
FWIW, I consider the LEDs on my ST to be rather superior to the HIDs on my 2015 Sport. They aren't necessarily BMW 'laser light' good, but they are a solid improvement.
Now if we could get the adaptive bending working, even better..

Anyone heard any updates on this? I've since further confirmed no movement (even slight) on start up when parked in front of something that will cast a shadow.
-
So an interesting thing I discovered when comparing to my 2015 Sport to the ST is that there are now TWO different lane systems: keeping, which is the button on the left hand stalk and was there on my 2015, and the new centering which is a steering wheel button. I was initially disappointed when the left hand stalk keeping button appeared to be no better than the 2015. Then I realized there was an entirely separate button for centering.

Feb 2019 build date.
Went to accelerate out of a right turn on red, made it through whatever first gear it was using, heard a clunk and it just sort of stopped accelerating for about 1.5-2sec. Then it found a forward gear and continued. This is the only really BAD shift I've had, though I've had a few other non perfect ones. This was in non-sport mode, just regular D. About 300miles on it presently, so not a ton of testing.
Curious about other experiences along these lines? It's one of those things that its going to be hard to reproduce when I eventually bring it in.

Can confirm mine don't move at all, either on start up or while driving. Feb 2019 build date.
Wonder if this was a semi conscious decision where they decided to ship with this disabled on some vehicles rather than delay them. I'd guess that 90% of people will never notice or ask about it.

Off to pick-up my 'new' ride, 'new' meaning it should shift correctly. Took two visits and warning about the RPM flare going to cause a engine failure.
Dealer 1st visit: we were able to experience your description but can't see any faults. Sorry. We will contact Ford. Crickets...
Dealer 2nd visit but still same service ticket: we weren't able to experience your description but the technician didn't feel it shifted correctly. We found a TSB that described your issue. We applied it to your car. Test drove. Car acted totally different. Also, your car is still in break-in mode so don't drive it too hard (BS is called here as my car has 1600 miles).
Fingers crossed. I still can't believe it took so much to get them to believe me. And then finally look for a TSB. AND they don't want to close the service ticket until I report back. Guess they don't want the LEMON LAW to kick in with 3 visits.
Built on day 1. 9/5/18
Sorry you had to deal with this, but hoping this is overall good news that the initial transmission issues have been fixed in software!

Showing up as 2/24 estimated delivery at https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/status but no window sticker either there or at www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin= yet. Any other source for info or window stickers I should check?
My dealer has been very loosey-goosey about the whole ordering process, but I'm glad that I finally have something more concrete.

Working fine for me; no changes.

I'd still love to get any thoughts/comparisons regarding the new LED headlights compared to prior generations HIDs. Hoping it is an improvement...

Gotcha; thanks. What about the screenshot that Dacford posted. Is that the VIN only tracking site? Where do I go to get access to that? Thanks!

Dealer has (theoretically) ordered mine!
How do I get access to this status site you all are mentioning? Would really like to see something other than a 'yup I ordered it' email from my sales guy...

I'm also interested in comparisons between the LED headlights and the HIDs in the 2018s and older. Not just the adaptive nature, but brightness, clarity, etc in regular operation.
-
Do you have the 401A package?
If so, how are the adaptive LED lights? Better/worse than the mediocre HIDs on older Sports?
-
My dealer told me today that the Performance Brake Package will start being built on September 13. So not super late availability if that is accurate. He also said 6-8 weeks from order to delivery once production starts.

MSRP on my order was $50,020. The only option I did not get was the DVD and the brake package. I would think both those options would add about $4K at most.
Thanks. I'm most interested to get a proper price dump with invoice vs MSRP, etc. Hate to have to ask a dealer for pricing and not know what invoice is.
Also curious about the timing for the brake package...

I do now feel strongly that the lights are 10-20% dimmer following the update. The movement is cool and useful, but I would trade it back for the old brightness in an instant :-(. I somehow doubt the dealer is going to flash back to and old version though....
