i am disappointed with the air flow as well. just got out of an 06 explorer eddie and that had some decent windage, the air flow form the edge hvac system fan is like the breath of a newborn baby

i have an 09 and they work fine

put some 26's on it and call it a day, Pirelli designed a 26 inch that works on the edge, it looks great!!

I am about to start the paperwork to order an 09 Edge limited and I just read through the long thread on the burning smell that seems to be prevalent on 07 and 08s.

 

I test drove a used 08 limited this week and noticed the burning smell on my first stop just as described in the thread. When I returned it the dealer they said it was leftover cleaning fluid on the engine. After reading through the other posts this is obviously not the problem.

 

Has anyone who has purchased on 09 Edge noticed this problem? I am hoping that it is an issue that has been dealt with prior to putting out the 09 line.

I have an 09 and all is OK

At least the rims won't be brake dust coated after 3 days like the Volvo. Good choice and welcome!

 

BTW, rims are an easy (but not cheap) fix.

I have the 2009 with the sport rims. Which dealer do you use?

Does anyone know about the 18 inch painted rim and why they changed the color for 2009? I was sold on the 2008 silver grey color of the rim and ordered my 2009 with this rim. When the car arrived, the rims were a bright silver color. I ordered the sterling grey Edge only because the vapour silver was no longer available so I thought the silver grey rims would look better. Anyhow, I love this vehicle and it is way cool.
