OASIS report? Hmm what's that?
Edit - oh ok, it's basically Ford's internal "what we did" report. I figure if it's being sold as a CPO from this dealer, they will perform the work if they haven't already.
edit 2 - To clarify, Carfax isn't stating the work has been done - it's simply showing the issuance of the "Customer Satisfaction Program"

Looking to purchase a 2016 Sport, and the Carfax lists this as being issued, how can I tell if it's actually gotten done before I buy the thing (CPO from dealer)? I could ask them, but is there any way to VERIFY it's been done?

For the 2015 and newer Edges (2nd gen), I read here that they included PTU drain plugs, as well as an updated PTU itself. Which would indeed go a long way towards long PTU life

That looks like TUXEDO Black to me, 2015. It is not as deep a black, looks a bit more like "super dark gray".
It's officially called "tuxedo black metallic", which could easily be confused for "metallic black".

I don't have one yet, but I'm reading the Edge doesn't have rear-seats that adjust fore/aft. My wife's CR-V does, I'd think the Edge should too.

With my 2016, something I don't like I just remembered, the rear camera. 2 things:
- It shows a good portion of the rear license plate, feels like wasted space that the camera could have shown more from the top.
- What you see above the license plate is actually part of the rear hatch. You cant see the rear bumper!
This is what I mean (not my Edge):
I'd rather have that then actually watching my back bumper hit stuff. With the lip like that, it appears as if it's just a few inches past the bumper.

Meh - I don't like it all that much - looks like the new Mazda interior, mixed with a bit of the Honda/hyundai/kia style of controls stacking.
I don't know about the rotary dial shifter either - especially in a truck/SUV...

I thought buying CPO gave you a 100K powertrain warranty already...? Which extended warranty did you get to make up the difference - PremiumCare (or whatever they're calling it)?
-
Incentives only apply to new vehicles - CPOs are just used cars sold by the dealer with a warranty. Ford has nothing to do with it other than providing the warranty.
Yeah, I wasn't sure if CPOs would count towards dealer sales goals for the year or anything...
So do you think the incentives for 2018 units will increase towards year-end?

Howdy y'all -
Looking at seeing if I could swing a new 2018 Edge Sport (prices with all incentives currently are around 38K for my option wants) soon, and wondering if historically, with the 2019 Edge models coming to dealers imminently, if late December would be the ideal time to grab a leftover '18 Sport. Current incentives are nice (0% for up to 72 +1K cash back), but will they be more motivated to clear off the 18's before January?
Ideally, I'd grab a new one, but 35K+ is too steep. So if I can't do that, my question now applies to CPO units on the lot...any incentive historically for those?

Edit for spelling

Purdy color red! The light-color seats really liven up the interior, I think. How has it held up?

Got some good news. As we know Ford OEM and all other rear mudflaps do not fit the 15+ Sport as the rear bumper is a little different. I did some looking and I found a set on Ebay that said it was just for the for Sport. I gave it a try and guess what? If fits the Sport great! If you are wondering why I wanted these I live up in northern IL and we get a lot of salt on the road on winter. With out flaps you can get a lot of damage over the years to your paint.
So far just installed the rear. They feel good quality. Only debate I have is since these touch the paint do I want to put some 3m clean vinyl protection between them and the paint.

Nice! Those do look good...any way to get a more "further away" shot? My only issue with them, and I'm being super nitpicky, is they don't look "tapered" at the top...they look like they stick out like an inch or so...maybe it's just the angle though.

Nice!
Post up some pics of that blue!

Hi there!
I prefer blue to silver, personally. I think the first oil change is something like 5000 miles - what's the mileage of that car? I'm honestly surprised the dealership still has a '17 as "new". I would harp on the fact that the 19MY is coming out imminently, so the 17 is USED, and you should not be spending new car $$ on a USED car.

I guess I'm hoping there'll be another...after all I am not planning to actually have an Edge in my driveway for awhile, unfortunately.

I have an ADDCO RSB on my Maxima - one of the first mods I ever did. Good to know I can do the same with my Edge (when I get it, anyhow).

ooh this is pretty!
I love the simple "keep the stock look" sleeper mods. Nice! What did it end up costing you?

The tail lights that are solid red are on the SE & SEL, and the Titanium & Sport trim levels get the light bar with amber turn signals.
SYNC 3 is a lot faster to use than MyFord Touch. Obviously, it's personal taste if you like it or not, but just using Google Maps (or Apple Maps) makes it worth it to me. I've got SYNC3 in my '17 Fusion Sport and our '16 Escape, and I'm about to upgrade my new-to-me '14 Edge Sport because it's something I'd really get a lot of use out of. If you can, may as well go for it.
Moonroof is optional on all trim levels.
Remember 2015 is the first year of the Gen2's - if you want to stay away from first model years just keep that in mind. If it's a 2015 to early-build 2017 Sport just make sure the engine is good with no smoke, oil consumption, or rough idle. Currently awaiting new cylinder heads (for my Fusion) for the 2.7 EcoBoost head issues (it's a 1-in-3 chance, so just look it over & look at service history if you can)...
Thanks so much! Good to know sport/titanium get the amber signals. I prefer those.
I have a 99 Maxima now with aftermarket basic bluetooth radio, so even the stock SYNC 2 would be a huge upgrade for me. I like the Android Auto functionality but really haven't had an occasion where what we had didn't work.
I usually swear away the first year of a new gen, that's my main hangup re: the CPO 2015. 1-in-3 chance for EcoBoost issues with the early years - yikes - thanks for letting me know! I would highly prefer a CPO when I buy, which has service history and all that jazz (plus the warrranty gets extended to 100K miles), I'll be sure to take a more detailed look at those issues.

Hello everyone!
This is my first post here, and I come hat-in-hand requesting information, or at least a general kick in the right direction, please.
I am looking at purchasing a Gen 2 Sport model Edges, and I am trying to determine the year-to-year differences between the following items:
- Rear Brake lights / turn signals. I have driven behind a few that were configured with solid red for a dual brake-turn signal, and I was behind a Titanium the other day that had the amber LED rear-turn signals. Is that a Tiatanuim-only option, or an option /stock based on model year?
- I know the SYNC 3 is available for 16 and standard on 17+, and am aware of the conversion kits available. I'm wondering if the SYNC 3 and Android Auto is really worth the price difference (either via conversion kit or from moving to a 16/17 instead of a 15 MY).
- Sunroof/moonroof...It seems like all the Sport models I see (both new/used and CPO) all have the panoramic sunroof thing. Is that standard in the Sport model?
I found an Electric Spice CPO MY15 Sport with equipment group 401A (but with the 20" wheels and no sunroof) for a decent deal (26K) and am seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on it...but will more likely wait until year-end and try for an leftover 18 under 33K or a CPO under 27K.
Thanks in advance for any advice/guidance/opinions.
Michael
What exterior color would you like to see offered next year?

A Dark Forest green like Toyota has (had?) on the Tacoma would be great with the Edge ST, and change the seats to be a two-tone black/grey instead of all black. Or at least black with blue contrast stitching
