I have also been looking for a solution to this problem. I also upgraded my 2008 CD changer with an 08 Nav unit and the usual results. No (limited) Sync, No steering wheel Sync controls, Reverse backup volume is very low and Sub Woofer doesn't work. I have also been told the dealer needs to find a matching 08 Edge on the lot to "reprogram" the unit. Will unitedradio.com reprogram the NAV to operate properly with my car and the above issues? Do they need my VIN or anything other then the Radio? Thanks!! Neil

I have a 2008 Ford Edge Limited AWD, with subwoofer. I bought a new 2008 Ford Edge Navigation head unit and had it installed with the GPS Antenna. Navigation works Sirius works Stereo,USB, Bluetooth works Steering wheel controls don't work Voice activation doesn't work Sub woofer doesn't work I had my ford dealership reprogram for $109 Navigation works Sirius works Steering wheel volume controls work Steering wheel Seek/Scan controls work Stereo,USB, Bluetooth works What still doesn't work! Steering wheel Phone button doesn't work Steering wheel voice activation button doesn't work Now I assume this would have something to do with Sync. Anyone have a solution? I am getting sick of this!

No, the "puck" at the back would need to be replaced with a "puck" that would also have the GPS cable attached to it, which you would have to run through your headliner. A lot of work. You need to order the standard GPS antenna that goes under your dash or behind the Navigation unit.

Thanks, Your post was helpful but My O8 edge had sync and bluetooth so a few other problems. At this point, I had a Car Audio store install the unit for me for $50, there are two funny screws at the top of the bezel under the rubber matt that I don't have tools for so FU it!. I would rather pay the $50 then look around all day! Sync works, bluetooth works. Steering wheel buttons don't work and Sub woofer is not active. Next Navigation I will now take it to ford to have them flash it.

Hi, My car is a 2008 Edge Limited AWD loaded except for Nav, The factory Sub woofer came with stock radio. The Nav I bought is 8E5T-18k931-AD which is a Pioneer AVN Audiophile NAV system from a 2008 Ford Fusion. I now know i need the Satellite Antenna but where can I get it programmed? Do i have to get it programmed in my edge or the edge programmed for the radio? Thanks for the help!

I just bought a 2008 New Navigation off ebay. no disc, No antenna. The disc I'm ok with as I know how to use torrents. However do i require anything else other then the head unit? Will i need to buy another antenna? Currently I have a 6CD AM/FM radio with Sync in a 2008 Edge Limited AWD. Thanks
