This thread is exactly what I need right now.  Just got my 2016 bronze Edge.  Got the wheels in black gloss and want to do the vinyl wrap hood.  Also want to do the exhaust bevels.  When I look underneath I don’t see any screws, only what looks like 2 rivets.  Do you have any pictures of the screws you’re talking about?

I don’t have one, just recently got my Edge, however I will say from my previous car (mazdaspeed3) you will feel a significant difference.  To be honest though, as soon as I put that thing on it was just one headache after the other.  Noises upon noises, plus I went through end-links like a hot knife through butter.  Unless you plan on doing track time with this thing I wouldn’t bother.

To repair/refinish was $160 a wheel.  Some of the scuffs were pretty bad.  Not sure what the previous owner was doing, lol.   

Crazy fast turn around.  Guy got these done in 24 hours.  Very happy with how they turned out.  

Thanks man.  I bit the bullet and decided on black.  I figure once I paint the exhaust bezels and emblems black it will look really good and uniform.  

Hey guys, so I got my Edge Sport preowned.  Wheels have some curb rash so I brought them in to get refinished.  Didn’t realize until 15 minutes ago that they could do a different color.  I like the stock 21 wheels but wanted to know if anyone has done them in black.  My edge is Bronze, I have to know soon so if anyone has pictures I’d appreciate it.

Welcome and congrats!  There have been a few attempts at this type of setup.  Since you are already a "modder"   you know leaving the filters open to the engine bay does not make for good performance.  It is basically a CAI from factory.

 

Xtra and snmjim would be the top of my list to follow regarding mods.  But definitely quite a few people have helped move this platform along.

Well that’s just the thing, with the speed 3 it didn’t matter if you did CAI or short ram. The turbo brought in so much air so fast that the engine temps didn’t seem to affect it that much. This car is clearly very different.

thanks for your input Xtra, I’m all about engine bling but not at the expense of performance, and I especially don’t want to start throwing codes.

Hey everyone.  I’m the proud owner of a preowned 2016 Ford Edge Sport.  I’m coming off of owning a Mazdaspeed3 that had pretty much every modification other than a bigger turbo you could think of.  It was fun to work on but after I had kids it started to decline and I’m very happy with the stress free Edge, however the mod bug has definitely stayed with me.

I’m going to be getting the LMS tuner soon, but would love some stuff in the engine bay.  I came across this custom intake, has anyone tried anything like this?  I know how to get the filters, it’s just the metal tubing that would be the issue.
