I just purchased a 2016 Ford Edge Sport yesterday. Before I purchased the car, everything with infotainment center seemed to work great. Purchased the car, added my phone, all was well... Until I make a phone call. When I make a phone call, Sync doesn't think the call has ended. I did a master reset, it may (or may not) work for the 1st call I make, but the 2nd call for sure, it is stuck. I can click around on the screen, change radio stations, turn off bluetooth from my phone, doesn't matter. I get no sound (since it thinks it is still connected to the phone). Hitting "end call" does nothing, it just sits there.
I am on Sync 3 Ver 1.0. For 2 days I've been attempting to download the sync update from Ford's website. I get a spinning wheel every time except for once where it said it was going to e-mail me within 24 hours... No e-mail. I attempted this on 3 different computers, 4 web browsers (chrome, firefox, edge & ie). Ford Chat couldn't help me, they said it would take up to 5 business days to receive a phone call, seriously? I'd take it to the dealer (which I'm going to have to do I'm assuming), but they are an hour away and I do not have time this week.
Anyone ever experience this before? Does anyone have the file they can upload and send me?
I had a 2013 Lincoln mkz prior to this car, sync updated no problem. I added my home network on wifi in the car, it just sits there. I know ver 3.0 can't be downloaded via wifi, but I figured it may update to a later version than 1.0.
I'm so frustrated with this car so far. I purchased the 2016 for sync 3. I've had the 1st version of sync, My Lincoln touch, figured this one would be sweet.
Any help would be certainly appreciated.
