I recently bought this vehicle used and the MFT keeps freezing. After looking up the version it looks like I have 2.4. I've tried upgrading from 3.08 and 3.10 from links I've found on these forums but it starts to install and then immediately tells me I need to take the vehicle to a dealership. Is there any way around this? I talked to Ford chat and they basically just said "well it's out of warranty now so you'll have to take it to a dealership and pay to get it done". I'd much rather do it myself if that is possible.
