  1. This is how to get into the IVSU menu using bezel diagnostics

    Turn on the radio.

Press and hold seek forward on both the EFP and steering wheel for 10 seconds

    end the speaker walk-around

    select APIM

    select IVSU Version

I was able to install Sync 3.4 and new 1.19 maps last night.  I am using an external SSD drive.  It took about 45 min to complete both installs.   I had done 1.19 map update first on Sync 3.3 before.  Sync 3.3 would not show the correct version but in the APIM menu it was the correct version.  I also had an issue where the voice nav was not working after the install.  The voice navigation was not working after the install last night.  The radio was rebooted a few time.  But this morning when I tired the voice navigation everything was working how it should.

This is the Version in IVSU  (4U5T-14G422-CAF is for the Voice Navigation Commands)

I have a 2009 mix and don't have any rust that I can find. I dont remember reading where anyone else had this problem.

Didn't you once write that you use a hot air blow dryer to melt the ice around your doors? If so, maybe this could be a factor in rusting?

If it were me, I'd would get it fixed before it gets worse.

No I don't use the hot air blower.   I went to the body shop yesterday and Ford denied my claim.  They said something about body flexing.  This is complete BS.

  3. Hi,

This is the second time I clean the weather striping in the wheel arch on the rear door.    I have 5000km 3100 miles on my Edge and the paint is already starting to flake under the rubber.  I am not really impressed with the paint quality on the Pearl White.  The seam sealer has some bubbles in on the lower rear door.  Anyone have these problems?  20200726_142034.thumb.jpg.425d65fdd1e1ee8b2c7750681eab9d1d.jpg

I know this is an old thread but  I am so glad to see I'm not the only one and I'm not crazy. my rear doors freeze shut ALL the time. I live in Colorado so it snows a decent amount and stays pretty cold for periods of time and I've had to blow dry my doors to get them to open. It happens while I'm driving too and then I can't get my kid out of the back, its a safety concern in my opinion. If we got in an accident and I can't get to him that way because the doors are frozen shut I'm gonna go ballistic on someone; Sure I can climb over the console and climb into the back seat and unbuckle him and climb back over with him but that not exactly realistic in an emergency. The dealership tells me it's not a known issue. They've replaced my moldings just to be sure. My 2014 didn't do it but my 2017 does regularly in the winter. I have considered trading it in because of this.

I started to make it a habit to open and close the rear door after snow and clean the flap at the bottom of the door.  Not had an issue since I started doing this.

So...was it worth it?  Did it cut down engine noise or provide a quieter interior?

    Was it easy to install??

Any other advantages to spend for it?

    Thanks

I bought one for my 2019.  Yes I find it did cut down on the noise.

The install is really easy.  The clips are included with the pad.

It just looks better with it installed.
