2017 Ford Edge SE owner.  I received a form advertisement about the SYNC 3 update for maps. I went through the down load only to find out that there is cost. How sad. Then I find   ford.naviextras.com which states helps you keep your map up-to-date and lets you drive with peace of mind by offering 5 years of free map update. I called the wonderful Ford customer service department and went through the dance, gave them my  Vin# they came back to say you Sync3 Map update is only good for 3 years. I asked about the ford.naviextras.com and got the corporate hard line "yours is only good for 3 years if you want to up date your Syn3 Maps you must pay". Has any used this ford.naviextras.com to update the Sync 3 Maps? Thanks

Thanks for the timely response. I feel much better about Auto Control function. My last new vehicle was your basic 2003 Ford Ranger and technology has changed a lot since then. My Edge and Ranger both run like champs. Appreciate the information. Good day !   

Need some assistance on the auto control please ?  I start my 2017 Edge SEL with the fob in the early morning. Auto control is set to 72 degrees. Once inside the vehicle  I look at the control panel see the inside temp set at the 72 degrees and the outside temp is at 55 degrees. Why is my a/c light on? I am getting heat but do not understand why the a/c is on and stays on. See picture. Click to enlarge. Still under warranty for next 6 months. Thanks

Just joined the site. Have 2017 Ford Edge SEL. Purchased new in 07/2017.  Could not be happier with the performance of the Edge. It is our travel SUV for the North West United States.
