  1. Here’s a question: when I turn the lights on for the 2016 Edge Sport, only the outside lights come on.  When I flip on the hi beams, those outside lights also go hi.  But there are inside lights on the headlights. - the square ones not the round ones.  I can’t figure out how to turn those on.  Are those hi? Low? Daytime?  What are those?  I can see bulbs in there but I can’t figure out how to power them on!

When running dual exhaust tips using a Y pipe  the exhaust bezels must be removed to make room for the tips . I am running 2 1/2 inch  in and dual 3 inch out tips on my 2016 Sport. Unfortunately you must also remove the tabs that the bezels attach to for the dual tips to fit . This is a permanent mod and once  the tabs are removed they are gone forever and the bezel  cannot be reattached. My tips are staggered with the inside tip shorter and they are also cut at an angle . . The 2.5 inch in and dual 3.5 inch tips out you are looking at will work great, 3.5 is the max size (imo) and will look and sound awesome ?. Theses are dual 2.5 inch tips I later swapped them out for dual 3 inch. Staggered, double wall, cut at an angle.

Here you can see how the bezel is gone for the tips to fit. 2.5 inch tips.

These are the 2.5 inch in and 3 inch out tips that I ended up with hooked up to my MRT Axle Back Exhaust  system.

    Great info. Thx.

So did you modify beyond just the tips?  How did you get the Y-tip to fit right?  I prefer not to modify the entire exhaust system.  I’m just doing it for cosmetics.

Yes I'm aware of that. The trapezoidal openings in the rear lower facia are meant to give the appearance of exhaust tips. I have no idea why Ford didn't make the design exhaust tip installer friendly. My best guess would be to eliminate the need to constantly clean the soot build up that GDI motors produce in abundance.

As best I can tell, the facia is easy to remove, as is the plastic hanger underneath.  I want to delete both and hang a dual tip on each side. I think I need an H-style tip with both barrels parallel or the outer one slightly protruding.  Right?  But what intake size?

I'm not trying to be argumentative (since i've been known as a bit of a prick) but I looked at your posts and saw several responses  on them..

Its not very 'traffic heavy' here lately, that is quite true, but if you search you will find many questions have been asked and answered already.

Sorry I am unable to add anything to the questions you asked

I’m not criticizing anyone, to be clear.

not dead, but not much new happening with the platform except maybe mods on the ST. the edge is officially out of production, so i am sure that weighs it down a bit.

What? I’m on a Model T board and a Corvair board.   Both are out of production.  Neither has had a new innovation in decades.  Yet both boards are hopping.  If I post anything about anything, I’ll have 15 responses in 24h.

I’m a new Edge owner.  I have a lot of questions.  I can’t even get basic questions answered.

  6. I know this topic has cone up before - but not recently as best I can tell:

Looking for a link to a good plug-n-play LED light for the headlights and high beams on a 2016 Sport.

I see lots of options online - but as I read comments, there is always an Edge owner complaining that something didn’t fit right.  So what worked for you?  Looking for bright (!) light upgrade.

  7. I’m looking to add exhaust tips onto my 2016 Sport.  I found some great looking tips in a Y configuration: 2.5” inlet, 3.5” outlet, dual tip with carbon fiber shell.  Sick.  Bit as I look at the stock exhaust, it looks set fairly inset (iE close to the middle of the car and not the middle of the housing).

when I search various sites, they lead me to Y tips.  Will those work well?  Or do I need to find offset tips?

I prefer not to have to weld, too.

any comments appreciated.  Any referrals with links are even more appreciated!

Yes and No. It all depends on the options/ equipment group that your car came with.  That being said even if she does have HID you can upgrade them. I'm currently running Osram Cool Blue Intense. I purchased them a few years ago and they have even better HIDs available now!

You didn't mention which package your edge came with. You can add it to your signature.

My sport came with the 400A and Cold weather package.  Does that help?

Great looking sport.   Your son is pretty lucky if this is his first vehicle.  I hope he doesn't have a heavy foot.

He’s a good kid.  Hard worker.  No heavy foot.  And he knows that his sister is destined to get this after him, so he’s just a caretaker.

Sure. First create a "My Key" for your teenage son. Set the maximum speed and volume for the radio. Better he drive safely (and boring) than the alternative.

Father/son projects? Conside a ceramic coating for the paint. Nothing says "hot" like a high gloss paint job.

thanks.  The car already has the ceramic coating.

but I’ll look into the my-key.  He’s a responsible kid who has lived away from home since he was 13 thanks to sports.

id love a referral on a dual exhaust tip.

  11. Hello.  I just bought my son his first car - a blue 2016 Edge Sport.  He loves it and we’d like to mod it a little together.  I’m curious if anyone is recommendations for easy father/son projects (and keep in mind he’s a new driver, so I don’t want to build a rocket ship).

I’d love a recommendation on a good quad tip exhaust we can bolt on (no welding pls).

Anything else you all would recommend?

    Thanks in advance!
