I just acquired a 2014 Edge with 40,000 miles.  It seems pristine.  When I open the hood to check fluids after a drive, the hood prop almost burns my fingers.  Temperatures, fluid levels normal.  My last car was a 2005 Escape and I've owned Fords for 50 years.  Is such a hot prop normal on this model?

I just bought a 2014 Edge.

The passenger seat seems very low compared to the how I have adjusted the driver's seat.

I think the passenger seat is not adjustable.

What is the best method to raise the seat?
