  1. Got the Edge back Saturday. Feels like brand new-ish again. Steering is 100% better. They replaced the rack unit and associated parts. I did see in their notes they said the steering shaft was loose at the rack unit, hmm, yeah that's possible given the symptoms I experienced. We'll see how things go, but so far so good, problem gone.
  2. Got a call from the dealer this morning, they looked everything over again this morning and are going to replace the rack unit. He said the tech found something, but didn't elaborate on what. I had the tires replaced in January and the front end and alignment was all checked then and nothing found. I don't know, as long as its fixed when I get it back. I did buy this with 3700 miles on it, it was a dealer loaner vehicle. UPDATE: Part made it in two days ago, now back in the shop after sitting on the back lot for a week, hopefully get it back this weekend...repaired.
  3. Dealer telling me there are voltage issues that could possibly be causing the steering issue, I had to go to the dealer and drive it with the service advisor yesterday, it did it for him. Tech said it was pulling left really bad also, I let go of the wheel 3 times with the service advisor in the vehicle, it never left the lane or wanted too. They drove it again after I left and said it was pulling left, could be related to the catching sensation in the wheel when going through a left curve in the road. See what happens when they reset the BMS and anything else electronic today.
  4. Took the Edge to the dealer last evening, they gave me a loaner Bronco Sport to drive, 51 miles on it, pretty sweet Outer Banks, way more loaded than the Outer Banks I use to own. Anyway, we'll see what they say about the steering issue when they get it tested.
  5. No, I turn all that stuff off if activated. Thanks!
  6. Try and follow this and understand if you can, just this week I have noticed on my 22 SEL, 31,000 miles, that when going through a lengthy left curve in a road at 40-45mph, the steering will want to stick left like it is wanting to lock and you have to pull the wheel back right as you're going to the curve in the road. You can feel it in the steering wheel when it happens, like it is catching, its not tire related. Very odd. Steering response is perfect otherwise. I have an oil change interval coming up and will have Ford put it on the rack to look it over, but they can never find anything I have an issue with. Thanks!
  7. Recall has showed up in my Fordpass app. for the backup camera.
  8. I saw an article this morning Ford is recalling vehicles for back up camera issue, one model is the 21-24 Edge, guess I'll wait and see if I get a letter.
  9. I'll check for the Sirius update. Odd that that would happen after driving for about 20 minutes, shutting it off to run into the stop and go for less than a minute, then get it, start the vehicle and have no back up camera or stereo for about a mile, can't even use the power button to get it to come on. Dealer called me after I emailed them for I felt is a lack of trying to solve the problem. They are getting me a loaner lined up and they're also going to replace missing splash shield bolts since they do all me oil changes, had to bring that up to them also, like I wasn't going to check their work.
  10. So at times, I start my 2022 SEL, I get no camera, no audio, cluster says audio off, pressing the power button on the volume knob does not power on the system, it will eventually power on after a mile or so of driving down the road. Problem is completely random, Ford has never been able to duplicate the problem, even though I have showed the pictures and videos of the vehicle in reverse with no back up camera, totally black display. Ford is recalling other models for no back up camera or back up camera issues, but dismisses my issue. Also, to access bluetooth audio on my phone, I have to hit the phone button on the display about 4 to 5 times or more each time before it will switch over to my phone. I do have the extended warranty on the vehicle and it is still under the 3/36000.
  11. So I continue to have issues with my Sync, again this morning, no back up camera, no radio, just a Ford logo for about a half mile until the radio came on. This is more frequent now than ever and every time I take it to Ford, they can't duplicate the failure, even with my showing them videos and pictures of the problems, they refuse to troubleshoot it any further.
  12. No codes, just studder then either go to normal idle rpm or die. Turns out this is the purge valve. I was able to find stuff on it with the Google. Oddly enough, last month, I also got a letter from Ford about the purge valve issue and to bring the vehicle in and they will replace it at no charge. It's under the 3/36 still anyways. UPDATE: The letter I got from Ford for a defective purge valve is actually for my 2018 Focus, which has never showed any signs of an issue. My Edge still wants to die at idle after fueling up, haven't had time to get to the dealer.
  13. Turns out it was a failing battery. I replaced the battery in mine yesterday, it was getting all kinds of battery save messages popping up on Fordpass and the infotainment screen. Radio would shut off as soon as the vehicle was shut off, etc... After the battery swap, all chimes are back to what they were prior, nothing over amplified now like before, no more shutting down to save power message. I wonder if this has been the issue with my back up camera being inop when powered on and radio not coming on when starting the vehicle. I placed a volt meter on the battery and pressed the Start button to play radio and the voltage reading went from 12.5V-ish to lower 11V in seconds. Battery was only 26 mos old. Engine running voltage to battery is 14.5+.
  14. Thank you for the replies. I'll pay closer attention to where to chime is coming from, it did sound local to the dash area and not the sound system, but no signs of a battery issue, been starting and running fine and radio plays a while when not running the engine. Still under bumper to bumper, only 24,000 miles on it. I have to take it in for the purge valve or something fuel related since it has started dying and rough idling after gassing up now.
  15. Observation only...I think my 22 Edge SEL did an update overnight or something, when I started it this morning, there was something on the screen that went away pretty quick, then I noticed the seat belt chime was annoyingly louder than normal and the red seat belt light looked brighter and the check backseat tone was also louder than normal when I shut the vehicle off.
