  1. Thanks! HaHa, no different dealer, one I have bought from in the past though. I never really planned on keeping the Edge for very long. The Edge sold last weekend already. The Explorer I picked up is a 2021 XLT, 23,000 miles, clean Carfax, local trade. My folks bought 2006 Focus from this same dealer brand new and when they passed away it became my sons car, 49,000 actual miles on it and always garaged until 2021.
  2. Took the Edge in, dealer admitted to over filling the transmission and cleaned all parts covered in tranny fluid, had the oil changed and wipers changed out also, then I traded it in Saturday for an Explorer.
  3. I have pretty sure the dealership overfilled my transmission, I have soaked up fluid off the top of it in the cavities the past 4 days after driving it. There is fresh fluid around the fill/vent cap also. Waiting for them to get me a loaner lined up so I can get it in.
  4. I have emails sent to them and they have called me and are getting me a loaner lined up to get it in. Me kiddo took some pics under the vehicle as well. They did it under my maintenance plan at no charge, I did question it.
  5. From what I have seen it is recommended at 30K, 60K and 90K on tranny fluid changes. I wouldn't think it should be that early either. I also checked under the hood last evening and things were "dry" where we cleaned up what we could and there were no new drops on the floor this morning.
  6. I have used my local dealer for decades, literally, when needed. For the most part they do a good job, but have made mistakes in the past, below may be another one. I have a 2022 SEL AWD, 36,000 miles on it, I bought the maintenance program for it, took it in for a regular oil change at 32,000 miles, advisor recommended the trans fluid change, it is included in the plan. Went ahead and had all that done, all is good until this past Tuesday morning, I notice drops on my garage floor. I wiped them up, red in color, then same thing Wednesday morning, I thought it was odd. I have only driven it around town until Monday I had to do some highway driving and go some distance. My kiddo and I popped the hood last evening and did some looking around, we found puddles of trans fluid in the housing casting around the fill hole area on the top of the transmission, it took about an hour to soak it all up due to the areas it was in were tough to reach. The splash shield is also soaked on the drivers as is the new rack unit they replaced this summer. Its going in as soon as I get a loaner for the dealer to look at, the dealer has been notified, it is also about 1200 miles shy of another oil change anyway. Its running and shifting fine, you think they simply overfilled the transmission and it bubbling from the fill cap or they just made a big ass mess filling it? My son said other than the tranny fluid, the bottom of the engine area is clean. TIA
  7. Got the Edge back Saturday. Feels like brand new-ish again. Steering is 100% better. They replaced the rack unit and associated parts. I did see in their notes they said the steering shaft was loose at the rack unit, hmm, yeah that's possible given the symptoms I experienced. We'll see how things go, but so far so good, problem gone.
  8. Got a call from the dealer this morning, they looked everything over again this morning and are going to replace the rack unit. He said the tech found something, but didn't elaborate on what. I had the tires replaced in January and the front end and alignment was all checked then and nothing found. I don't know, as long as its fixed when I get it back. I did buy this with 3700 miles on it, it was a dealer loaner vehicle. UPDATE: Part made it in two days ago, now back in the shop after sitting on the back lot for a week, hopefully get it back this weekend...repaired.
  9. Dealer telling me there are voltage issues that could possibly be causing the steering issue, I had to go to the dealer and drive it with the service advisor yesterday, it did it for him. Tech said it was pulling left really bad also, I let go of the wheel 3 times with the service advisor in the vehicle, it never left the lane or wanted too. They drove it again after I left and said it was pulling left, could be related to the catching sensation in the wheel when going through a left curve in the road. See what happens when they reset the BMS and anything else electronic today.
  10. Took the Edge to the dealer last evening, they gave me a loaner Bronco Sport to drive, 51 miles on it, pretty sweet Outer Banks, way more loaded than the Outer Banks I use to own. Anyway, we'll see what they say about the steering issue when they get it tested.
  11. No, I turn all that stuff off if activated. Thanks!
  12. Try and follow this and understand if you can, just this week I have noticed on my 22 SEL, 31,000 miles, that when going through a lengthy left curve in a road at 40-45mph, the steering will want to stick left like it is wanting to lock and you have to pull the wheel back right as you're going to the curve in the road. You can feel it in the steering wheel when it happens, like it is catching, its not tire related. Very odd. Steering response is perfect otherwise. I have an oil change interval coming up and will have Ford put it on the rack to look it over, but they can never find anything I have an issue with. Thanks!
  13. Recall has showed up in my Fordpass app. for the backup camera.
  14. I saw an article this morning Ford is recalling vehicles for back up camera issue, one model is the 21-24 Edge, guess I'll wait and see if I get a letter.
  15. I'll check for the Sirius update. Odd that that would happen after driving for about 20 minutes, shutting it off to run into the stop and go for less than a minute, then get it, start the vehicle and have no back up camera or stereo for about a mile, can't even use the power button to get it to come on. Dealer called me after I emailed them for I felt is a lack of trying to solve the problem. They are getting me a loaner lined up and they're also going to replace missing splash shield bolts since they do all me oil changes, had to bring that up to them also, like I wasn't going to check their work.
