The Ford dealers that I have called have all said you have to buy the whole muffler assy to get the exhaust tips.

Does ayone know how I can buy The EDGE Sposte polished exhaust tips?

Does anyone know how you can buy the EDGE Sports polished exhaust tips. :wacko:

Thanks for the info. All the tech said was he had to reprogram the my EDGE. Didn't say what he programed.

Hi Earl. :D Just as an FYI: The Dealer actually needs to reprogram the SJB (Smart Junction Box), not the PCM. Perhaps the Dealer told you "PCM" so that they would not have to explain what an SJB is? Who knows.

Only the dealer can do it. It requires the reprogram of the pcm. They only charged me 1/2 hour labor. If your dealer says he can not do it they are all wet.

So what exactly has to be done? Can we do it ourselves or does it require a factory reprogram of the pcm ?

Just returned from my FORD dealer. Had a seriuos talk withe there tech about DRL's for the EDGE. After a little research he finally found what we needed to reprogram the light controls to enable the system to add DRL's to my EDGE. FORD had nothing in there manuals to do this. We finally had to go into the program itself. There we found the the option to enable / disable the DRL option. Done deal.

Hi Earl. :D I answered this question in your other post. There is no aftermarket kit. You need to find a Dealer with a more competent Service Department.

I just purchasd a 08 SEL without DRL's. Dose the manual / wiring diagram have anything about what is needed for that feature.

I realize that most of us are under warranty and won't be doing much in the way of major repairs, but I want to stick my neck out here. The mailman brought me a complete set of manuals for a 2008 Edge/MKX ( including wiring diagrams. ). If anyone needs anythng specific, I may be able to help. Keep in mind I work shift work and have dial-up internet. If you need a scan of something, I can give it a try, but it will really depend on its size as to whether I can post or e-mail it.

DAA........If that is all I wanted to do I wouldn't have asked the question. I have had DRL's on other cars. I like the option.

Purchased a 08 EDGE SEL last November. Great SUV. Did not come with DRL's. Asked the dealer how do I go about adding DRL's and they had no answer. Does anbody know of a FORD after market kit?

I'm a new kid on the block. Just purchased a 08 EDGE SEL last Nov. So far so great. I do have have one question for anybody. How do I add DRL's? I asked the dealer and they did not know.

Update: Just returned from my local FORD dealer. After a little research they finally found out how to go about reprogramming the computer to enable the DRL option. Done deal.
