I have a 2017 edge w/manual Liftgate. I too have been having issues with it not opening or shutting at times. I try to open it and it doesn’t; opened the back door and like magic, it will open. Now that has stopped. I have to actually drive my car a few yards, get out and open the liftgate. Also, when I try to open it and it doesn’t open, the liftgate ajar notice pops up on my dash. But, clearly it’s not! Took to Ford dealership and they don’t have a clue. All their testing says it should work, they said it would cost upwards of $500 to replace!! I have 134,485 miles! If you find out anything new let me know !!
