Having same issue as Cynthia Ogle and GinaVN with our 2014 Ford Edge. Error popped up around the end of last year and after changing the battery we were told to monitor. In March, the car shut down while driving. Replaced the alternator then. We were in the clear for about a month or two without an error message and then it this week the car shut down again while driving. Our mechanic said to bring it to the dealer since it seemed like software issue. The dealer, in their wisdom, said the best first step is to replace the alternator and battery again before taking any other troubleshooting steps. Did y'all ever figure out what fixed this?
From the forums I've seen, this is the short list of other things to check:
- Battery cable ring sensors
- Battery cable grounds (corrosion on engine block)
- Reset BMS
- Remote Start Fuse
- AUX Belt tension
Thank you!
