Hello! New to forum! New owner question. Did extensive search but did not find answers.
Recently purchased a 2013 2.0 Eco with 138K. Seems great. 2 weeks of ownership and the P0299 code appears. Engine sounds good, no ticking or unusual noise. No change in acceleration power. No other codes. Everything seems to work as it should. Looked at turbo linkage (wastegate) and has some wiggle, but i don't know what is normal. Does not chatter while idle or revving.
Looking for ideas of things to check out. No obvious signs or rot to lines but may need to leak test.
Cleared code twice but returns after about 20 miles.
Not excited to replace turbo weeks after purchase!
Any help and ideas appreciated!
