I too had this problem. I did the reset method, but it rarely worked. Finally after two years of this, I installed a new blend door actuator. I watched one video where the tech used a philips on a ratchet. I was not so lucky to have one. I did find that I was able to reach screws 2 and 3 with a long screwdriver from the open area by the steering column. The third one and trickiest the screwdriver was behing the steering column, towards the front of the car. I did have to lay with my head by the pedals face up to get a good view of the new actuator placement and screw locations. It was a doable project for 60 year old chubby chick that I am. I cant wait for the passenger side to fail, much easier access.
