I have a 2010 Ford Edge that just did the same thing and I used to drive for Road and track magazine so needless to say I don't drive easy on my vehicles. It stayed on for a minute steady and then when I slow down to below 30 miles an hour it went off and it never came back on again but before that when it started flashing was right after I had rabbit started and blew the doors off a Mustang so I have a feeling the speed sensor malfunctioned temporarily. So far it hasn't been an issue for me as far as having to be repaired.
