  1. These are instructions on how to connect a Sirius receiver, but I do it with an XM Roady2 with no problems. I just sit the antenna in the little box at the end of the console, plug the aux line and the power into the adapters in the armrest box, and set your Edge radio to Aux In (which is after the am/fm/Sirius options).

BEST - DIRECT WIRED CONNECTION VIA "AUX IN" OR "LINE IN" INPUT for best audio performance and easiest installation.

Purchase an audio cable that matches the connection type of your car radio and your SIRIUS radio at your local electronics retailer (your SIRIUS radio requires a 1/8" stereo male connector). Male on both ends.

Plug one end of the cable into the "AUDIO OUT" or "LINE OUT" jack on your SIRIUS radio. Plug the other end into your "AUX IN" or "LINE IN" jack on your car radio.

Turn the FM transmitter of your SIRIUS radio OFF.

The cable might run you a few dollars...much cheaper than having Best Buy messing around with your radio

  2. I`m seeing the same thing with my 18 inch wheels (all four). It`s right on the outside edge of the rim, beyond the plastic chrome. As of yet I`ve not brought it up with the dealer, but I might have to if it doesn`t clean off.

  3. When I was in a few weeks ago for my first oil change, I mentioned to the service advisor that my sun shade made noise when it opened and closed. He asked me if it was a rattle or not. Mine isn`t a rattle, so for now I`m leaving it. Apparently to fix the rattle they have to remove the headliner and fix whatever it is that is causing it. He said they have done quite a few in the last while.

Maybe what you are hearing is different, but it was a rattle they said was a problem that is happening more and more.

    Hope it helps.

  4. Check my profile gallery for the pics of the liners. I hope they help you EdgePa...if you need more, let me know. The drivers side pic at the top, you will see that I added a couple same coloured mats. I did that because I like to stretch out once the criuse is on, and I wanted to make sure that all the carpet was protected. The floorliners would be even better if they went about 4-5 inches higher.

As for buying them in Canada. Order them online from the US using your nearest UPS Store in the US as the mailing address. Go across when they arrive at the store, put them in, destroy the boxes, mail yourself the paperwork and your good to go. UPS will charge you a slight fee for handling them, but you will still save a lot of money. That`s what I did.

  5. I have the light stone interior and I have both the floorliners and cargo liner in the grey colour. I thought at first that the grey would be too dark and not suit the interior. I quickly got use to it and found that it is actually a nice accent to the light stone.

The tan would not work I dont think....the colour is too different to the stone.

I`ll try and get a few pics in the next day and let you have a look to see if you like it or not.

  6. My belief is that, if you add a third row of seats, it becomes an SUV. Look at the Acadia/Outlook/Enclave; its hardly a CUV.

I bought the Edge especially because it sat 5. If I had wanted to seat more, I most likely would have purchased the Outlook.

I dont regret purchasing the Edge for for second. It suits my needs perfectly.

    My two cents....

  7. Do what I did. Order them online, give them the address of your closest UPS store in the US. Mine was just over the border in Niagara Falls, NY. Include on the shipping address your phone number so that when they arrive at UPS, they can phone you. They will charge your $10 to take the package, and $1/day to hold it.

I ordered the floorliners and cargo liner and they came in two shipments. When both were there, I went down, put them in, got rid of the boxes, mailed myself the paperwork, came home. Saved myself well over $100/US.

  8. I had a weird thing happen to me a couple weeks ago after a heavy rainstorm. When I started my Edge for the first time that next morning, the message centre said that the Compass Module needed to be checked. I started a new calibration and drove to work. When I came out later and started it again, everything was ok.

    Hasnt happened again.

  9. Whats your average speed? Im at an average speed of 38km - getting 14.2 right now...

on third tank - doing about 300kms per week....I think I might reset my computer calculation....

I looked earlier today and I believe my average speed was 40 or 45km.

  10. I got some lessons this weekend on how to get the best mpg with the type of engine in the Edge. (I have a relative that worked on the design)

Keep your eye on the tach and try to not let it go over 2. Slow accelerating and coasting whenever possible. (It is amazing how far this car will coast at a good speed) I had been getting around 19 miles to the gallon. I experimented with the suggestions this weekend and my mpg went up to 26 (mixed highway and city with the airconditioning on). I thought that was pretty amazing. I was able to go 70 on the highway without the tach going over 2. Now I am addicted to watching the tach and the MPG display  Just have to remember to watch the road too.

    I really love this car!

I`ve been driving much like you stated, keeping and eye on the tach and not hammering it off the line. With a 50/50 mix of highway/city, my mileage has been about 11.3 litres/100 K. That is on my second tank with roughly 800 kms on the clock. On the highway at 100klms (55mph) I`m reving about 1500, sometimes coasting I can rev about 1000.

Sorry for no MPGs on the gas usage...all metric unfortunately.

I love the vehicle and so far have no complaints.

    Thanks

  11. Hello everyone,

I picked up my new Edge a week ago. An SEL + in Light Sage with Lt. Stone interior. The only option is the Vista Roof.

I dont find the glare to be an issue and the brakes, not as bad as some make out I think.

    Thanks
