Your response and link saved me. I was searching the web for two days and got nothing but dead ends but now, your response on this forum saved me. Thanks again! Hopefully this response will show up on Google searches to help others as well.

  2. Hey all. I have had my New to me 07 Ford Edge SEL for about 7 months. It came with the "additional single-button" key fob for the remote start. (Kind of a pain to have the huge key with the unlock / lock buttons on it and then also the additional remote fob.) I used it during the winter and in the summer. About 3 days ago, it stopped working. It honks 1 time to indicate it received the "Start" command but then Honks 6 times to indicates something is wrong and it doesn't start. Anyone have a manual or know how to fix whatever it is trying to tell me? Any help would be appreciated.

  3. Ok so I am thinking about changing the lamps out fro HID. Can anyone advise why a vehicle with Auto Lights and DRL have issues requiring a Resistor or some other items. The DRL are actually the High Beams and I would not be changing those only the Low beams for now. Then maybe in the future the fogs. Don't use the High Beams enough to warrant changing them out. Your input / opinion is appreciated.

  4. Last February here in Maryland we got 31 inches of snow where I live. The Edge was fantastic. was driving down unplowed roads. The look of the people riding their snow mobiles on the road was great. I don't think they were expecting to see a vehicle drive down the road for another day or two. I definately do recommend using the traction control On/Off feature. On when your cruising along but if your stopped and can't get traction turning it off for a bit gets you going again and then you turn it back on.

  5. 2007 AWD 60k miles | Recent trip from Baltimore to NYC I averaged 20.5 mpg on the Jersey Turnpike. However, my daily driving habits and normal commute to work, highway however rarely hit 50 mph (damn dc commuters) my avg is "Calculated" at 16 mpg. I have even recorded as low as 12 mpg when it was a full tank of gas of just running around town. (My wife drove it for two weeks before we realized the lousy gas mileage.)

  6. Let me put my fire suit on before I say this. Ok. Well if you dont like how this feels why did you buy the car? Now, Im not trying to be a dick, by any means, I am just saying. When I test drove my Edge I made sure I liked driving it, I made sure that I was comfortable while driving. I understand what you are saying about hte headrest. I felt the same way when I first drove the Edge but I was reasured by the fact that I could ajust the seat either up or down, front or back, and change the incline to a spot that I found that I could drive with no problems. It did take me a while to find that perfect sweet spot, but I was able to find it. Again, I am not trying to ruffle anybodys feathers; Im just saying.

I drive a 2007 SEL + and I have the seat pretty straight. (Now my wife on the other hand is almost lying down in this or our other two cars.) I don't know if my back is not straight to begin with but my head doesn't come anywhere near the Headrest. I read a couple of these posts and actually tried to find some position that was uncomfortable to drive and could not find one. I really love this car. Now I wish the Edge I bought had a power reclining seat back instead of the manual lever so that my wife and I could have that as well programmed because I also love the Memory Seat option.

  7. I am looking for a local Edge owner in the area (wash/dc) who's interested in coming with me to a manufacturing/engineering firm to have our vehicles looked at closedly for possbile product development. I won't mention the name of the company but they are very reputable and top notch engineers. Currently, they have expressed interests in looking at the CX-9 and Edge.

Just picked up an Edge 2007 SEL +. I live in Eldersburg What are we talking about here?
