I have an 09 and I'm pretty sure I have the problem. I'm taking it in friday for service.. I'll let you know what happens.

I'm taking mine in on Friday and it will be there for the weekend. I'll find out late monday or tuesday.

Info: 2009 Edge SEL AWD, noticed burning smell about 2 weeks ago.

36 yo male from PA. Bought my Edge in June (09) and love it. I had a 2001 Bullitt Mustang and a 06 Nissan X-terra as my daily driver but it got to be too much with two cars. Insurance was killing me. I sold the mustang eventough it broke my heart, I had to do it. I needed something that was good in the snow and I could haul my drums in. It was an edge or a toyota. The toyotas were too expensive and I just fell in love with the edge when I saw it on the lot. It's black as you can see from the picture and it has the blue suede inserts in the seats. I love that. So far so good. I have 14K miles on her and the only thing I have a problem with is a burning smell that I posted about in the 09 edge/mkx fourm. here's some pictures. Sorry the interior shots are fuzzy my camera had a smudge on the lens.

I'm new here. Bought my Edge in June. It's a 2009 SEL AWD. Here's one pic.

I started to notice a burning smell in mine about 2 weeks ago. Usually after it's warmed up, and it only lasts about 2-3 minutes. It smells like rubber or brakes. I'm not sure what it is. Has anyone found a problem with this??

I'm gonig to make an appt this week to take mine in and wanted some more info. Glad I found your site.
