  1. I have a problem with them as well. My fix is just to put the back seat center arm rest DOWN. That removes the center head rest from blocking the view. The two side ones are not that big of a deal.

On the other hand you could remove them and just store them in the back. If you have a passenger back there then reinstall them. Not that hard to do. Would take all of 2 seconds. That way your passengers are safe.

  2. I have a 2010 with just the Sync, no navi. I love it. With all the good portable GPS units on the market for a fraction of the cost of the in dash Nav unit I am not sure you could convince me to go with the in dash. If I run out the door without the GPS and need directions Sync can get me there. Tom Tom has a service you can subscribe to for getting traffic and weather data over your cell phone and up to the GPS unit via blue tooth.

  3. Never ever just leave a deposit with paperwork to be done later. Do the deal all at once. Haggle on the price as long as you need to but once you are ready to sign... go in and either wait for the paperwork to be done, or tell them you will come back and sign, but you are NOT leaving a deposit. Once they have your deposit you are buying that car from them. If they say they must have the deposit AND you have to come back to do the paperwork, something is wrong. Run from that deal.

  4. There is a forum online called 'A Rubber Door' that talks about this in length. Some fixes mentioned are to turn off the wifi, the location services, etc-but then there is so much you cannot use your iPhone for like maps, without turning everything back on. The iPhone is not completely compatible with the Sync so it skips and you cannot use all of the steering wheel controls either, just volume. Life is better with the iPhone/iPod plugged into the usb. I originally used my iPhone as an iPod in the car and I started having trouble with the phone functions acting up, so I got a little Nano just for the car.

Why even go the route of getting an iPod? I guess if all your songs are in that format... but just convert them to MP3 and drop them on a USB stick. A 4 gig USB ought to cost what $30 or something cheap. Drop a lot of your music on there and go to town.
