What you're saying makes perfect sense. Seems like an upgrade could be made available to those who were so inclined (like myself who always strives for the latest and greatest). It would be great if at the least the compatible enhancements could be backwards compatible. Most simply the general update the look and feel of the interface would be nice. A relatively simple way to keep the system feeling "fresh".

That would be a bit of a bummer... It looks like a very cool system. Wishful thinking I suppose. It's a truth in life and technology, but it's always a bummer when you just get something then shortly thereafter something better comes along...!

Does anyone know if the new nav system software ("My Ford Touch") coming out with the 2011 models will be available for upgrade on prior models (e.g., 2010)?
