  1. My girlfriend has a 2007 Edge that she got a few weeks back. When the blower motor is turned on high, the sound is about right (it sounds like it is turning fast and moving lots of air) but very little air comes from the vent. On high it is like most cars on low. I thought there might be some blockage, but I would think it would only make one or two vents blow less air, but all of them are equal. Anyone have a problem like this? Could it be a clogged cabin air filter? The air flow is low when the system is set to intake air from the outside or to recirculate and when temp is set to hot or cold. Thanks.

  2. They are referring to an issue with the heater core clogging that Ford has developed fix for. It involves a flush of just the heater core with a chemical strong enough to dissolve the clog. Check out some of the threads on the subject. They are not referring to a normal coolant change.

Ya, I had read some about it. I was just wondering why they have to wait on a special tool to do it. Is it the special chemical they are waiting on? My girlfriend just got a 2007 so the coolant is probably 2 years old. I may replace it, flush out the system (including the heater core) and put in new coolant.

  3. No where does it say that it's the Ford Service manual, but I'm guessing it is. Pretty hard to believe that it could be any more comprehensive than this is.

Ya, I saw the sample of it and the drawings looked better than any of the ford service manuals I have had in the past. I can't imagine another source of manuals that detailed. Thanks.

  4. Hi lemmy. :D That does not sound like any feature that was part of the factory installed equipment.. Seems like her Edge may have had some sort of aftermarket alarm or entry system installed by the previous owner. Your best course of action would be to return to the Dealership where she purchased it and ask them to check the vehicle out.

    Let us know the outcome.

    Good luck. :beerchug:

Well...she is a bit embarrassed. She told me about this beeping, but it was actually a phone that had been left in the car. She thought locking it stopped it because it was beeping several times and stopped when she locked the door. And then later it started beeping again. Thankfully it wasn't the Edge. She loves it so far.

  5. My girlfriend just got a used 2007 Ford Edge SE FWD. The keys were missing and there was just a Standard Securilock key (the kind without the remote entry transmitter built in) and two of the old style separate keyless entry remotes. Everything works fine, but if the car is not locked when you get out of it, after a few minutes the car starts beeping. It is very loud (it isn't the horn) but you can hear it within 5-10 feet of the car. Does anyone know what this is and how we can stop it? Thanks.
