After reading through the entire post string, I am glad to hear that your Edge ended up not having a problem and that it was just an overfilled transfer case. Unfortunately, mine actually did develop a leak in the transfer case and has now been in the shop for a week waiting on parts from the factory. I've had it 2 weeks and it only has 500 miles on it. I have been really surprisingly happy with it since taking ownership and was really disappointed when I noticed a lot of transmission fluid on the garage floor last week. However the dealership has been really responsive and very aggressive on getting the parts in. I should get it back tomorrow (Friday) which would be a week and two days in the shop. I am guessing it was just a fluke and that it wasn't installed properly at the factory - same thing the dealer thinks as they haven't seen any other problems like this. Hopefully this will be the only issue I have with it during my 24 month lease. I have been a Honda/Acura loyalist for 12 years and seven vehicles - first time I have come back to a domestic vehicle in a long time and this isn't a great way to start off. None of my Honda's ever had any type of problem - absolute blissful ownership. I am hoping I'll be able to end up feeling the same at the end of this experience.
